Automechanika Riyadh Records Unprecedented Exhibitor Increase For 2024 Event

Automechanika Riyadh, Saudi Arabia's premier automotive aftermarket trade show, is set to return with its 6th edition at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre (RICEC) from April 30 to May 2, 2024. This year's event is expected to draw in over 8,000 visitors and has already confirmed participation from more than 280 exhibitors, marking a significant 448% increase from its last edition. The exhibition will span three halls at RICEC, highlighting the growing interest and demand within the automotive sector in the region.

The Saudi Arabian automotive aftermarket has witnessed a steady Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 6.43% since 2021 and is projected to reach a value of $9.4 billion by 2027. This growth trajectory is largely attributed to the Saudi Government's Vision 2030, which aims for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OMEs) to produce over 300,000 vehicles between 2020 and 2030. Additionally, a recent collaboration between Hyundai and the Saudi Arabian Wealth Fund will see the establishment of a manufacturing facility capable of delivering 50,000 cars, including electric vehicles (EVs), further boosting the sector.

Riyadh Auto Show Sees Major Growth

Another significant factor contributing to the sector's growth is the anticipated increase in female drivers in Saudi Arabia, expected to reach three million by 2030 following policy changes in the country. This demographic shift is poised to further stimulate demand for passenger car spare parts and components.

Automechanika Academy and Training Workshop

The Automechanika Academy will be a focal point of the exhibition, offering a three-day program where thought leaders and industry professionals will discuss advancements, challenges, and trends in the automotive sector. The final day will be dedicated to aftersales learning and development as part of the Training Workshop.

International Participation

The exhibition will feature over 26 countries with six country pavilions from China, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Korea, and Singapore. Exhibitors from Germany, the UK, the US, Japan, India, Pakistan, and GCC countries like the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia will also have a significant presence. Notably, KSA exhibitors will occupy over 25% of the total exhibition space.

Product Focus Areas

Automechanika Riyadh will showcase seven product focus areas: Parts & Components, Tyres & Batteries, Oils & Lubricants, Accessories & Customising, Diagnostics & Repairs, Body & Paint, and Care & Wash. This diverse range of products underscores the exhibition's role as a comprehensive platform for networking, learning, and conducting business within one of the most dynamic industries.

Bilal Al Barmawi, CEO and Founder of 1st Arabia Trade Shows & Conferences, emphasized that Automechanika Riyadh serves as an unparalleled platform for showcasing innovations shaping the industry. Aly Hefny, Show Manager at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, also highlighted the exhibition's integral role in facilitating networking opportunities and driving strategic collaboration in Saudi Arabia's fast-growing automotive aftermarket industry.

With its extensive international participation and a wide array of product focus areas, Automechanika Riyadh continues to solidify its position as a key event for automotive professionals looking to expand their footprint in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region.
