ADQ Initiates Q Mobility To Boost Abu Dhabi's Transportation Network
ADQ has launched Q Mobility to advance transportation with smart mobility solutions, aligning with Abu Dhabi's vision for growth. The company will oversee the Abu Dhabi toll system DARB and the parking system Mawaqif, under the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) through the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility).
Q Mobility is committed to delivering efficient, reliable, and convenient transport solutions by integrating advanced technologies. It forms part of ADQ's broader transport and logistics portfolio, which includes Abu Dhabi Airports, AD Ports Group, Etihad Airways, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, and Etihad Rail.
The company aims to provide sustainable and integrated solutions that support the emirate's development. By leveraging innovative technologies, Q Mobility seeks to enhance transportation efficiency in Abu Dhabi.
DARB has been operational since 2021, managing eight toll gates located at key bridges across Abu Dhabi. This system plays a crucial role in regulating traffic flow within the city.
Mawaqif was established in 2009 to offer structured and fully digitized public parking facilities for motorists in Abu Dhabi. This system helps streamline parking management across the city.
ADQ's strategy involves consolidating assets from various sectors to create cluster ecosystems. This approach supports the growth of portfolio companies by leveraging their strengths and fostering long-term value creation.
Through these initiatives, ADQ contributes significantly to diversifying Abu Dhabi's economy. The focus is on enhancing residents' quality of life by ensuring reliable delivery of essential services such as power, water, transport, food, and healthcare.
By integrating Q Mobility into its portfolio, ADQ aims to bolster its transport sector capabilities. This integration is expected to drive innovation and efficiency in transportation services across the emirate.
