Adnoc Distribution Sets Goal For 200 Fast EV Charging Points By 2024
Adnoc Distribution is set to introduce additional fast electric vehicle (EV) chargers as part of its strategy to expand its network of fuel stations across the UAE, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. This initiative aligns with the company's five-year growth plan, according to a report by Emirates News Agency, WAM.
Eng. Bader Saeed Al Lamki, CEO of Adnoc Distribution, shared these plans during the Make It in the Emirates Forum. The company currently operates 840 filling stations in the UAE, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Over the next five years, Adnoc Distribution aims to increase this number to approximately 1,000 stations.

"Adnoc Distribution targets opening between 15 and 20 new fuel stations this year in key locations that are easy to access," said Al Lamki. This expansion also includes plans to enhance non-fuel retail services, positioning the company as a leader in the multi-energy sector.
Currently, Adnoc Distribution has 90 fast EV charging points situated in strategic locations. The company aims to increase this number to between 150 and 200 fast chargers by the end of this year. Over the next five years, Adnoc Distribution plans to install a total of 500 fast electric chargers.
Future Outlook
This expansion is part of Adnoc Distribution's broader strategy to cater to the growing demand for EV infrastructure while maintaining its leadership in traditional fuel services. The company's focus on accessible locations for new stations and enhanced retail services underscores its commitment to customer convenience and service diversification.
