Abu Dhabi Taxis Can Now Be Booked Via Yango App
The Integrated Transport Centre in Abu Dhabi has collaborated with Yango, a ride-hailing service, to introduce a new taxi booking service. This is designed to enhance public transport by providing more services through the Yango app.
The Yango app, available for iOS and Android, supports Arabic and English languages. It now includes over 1,500 registered taxis. Users can download the app for free and specify their destination. With geolocation enabled, the app identifies the user's location and finds the nearest driver.

During its trial phase, the Yango app facilitated over 8,000 trips in five months using 300 taxis in Abu Dhabi. The service also incorporates a secure system for managing lost items. Drivers are encouraged to return lost belongings to their owners or the nearest police station and must document these items when necessary.
Abdulla Al Marzouqi, Director General of the Integrated Transport Centre, stated that this initiative connects public and private taxis along with licensed private vehicles via a secure electronic platform. He mentioned that it supports Abu Dhabi's objective to reduce its carbon footprint by improving transport efficiency.
The service aims to improve public transport efficiency while supporting environmental goals. By integrating public and private transport options on one platform, it seeks to offer a seamless experience for users.
