2025 Infiniti QX80 Redesign To Be Unveiled On March 20, Featuring New Luxury Elements

The Japanese luxury automaker, Infiniti, is set to unveil the redesigned 2025 Infiniti QX80 in a public debut slated for March 20, the company confirmed this Tuesday. This announcement follows the brand's preview of the flagship SUV's design through the QX80 Monograph concept showcased at the 2023 Monterey Car Week.

The upcoming incarnation of the QX80 teases several carry-over elements from the concept, as observed in the latest teaser images released by Infiniti. These images highlight distinctive design features such as split headlights with high-positioned daytime running lights at the hood's edges and full-width taillights. Additionally, the new model will incorporate flush door handles, aligning with modern automotive design trends.

While details on the interior remain under wraps, Infiniti has hinted at the inclusion of a 24-speaker Klipsch audio system, revealed during the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) last month. The expectation also leans towards the presence of dual screens, serving as the gauge cluster and infotainment hub, reflecting a current trend in the auto industry.

The third-generation of Infiniti's full-size SUV, previously known as both the QX56 and the QX80, is anticipated to employ an updated version of Nissan's F-Alpha body-on-frame platform. The current QX80 model, which has been on the market since the 2011 model year and has seen a few updates, is due for a comprehensive redesign.

Similar to the existing QX80, the forthcoming model will share a close relationship with the Nissan Armada, also known as the Patrol in various markets. Both SUVs are expected to share a platform and powertrain, with speculation pointing towards a twin-turbocharged V-6 engine replacing the V-8 found in the current models.

Manufacturing of the present QX80 model takes place exclusively at a facility in Kyushu, Japan. Whether production strategies will shift with the introduction of the new model remains to be confirmed.
