These Three Middle Eastern Airlines Have Been Named Among The World's Top Airlines
Qatar Airways has been awarded the title of World's Best Airline at the 2024 World Airline Awards, marking the eighth time it has won the prestigious accolade in the awards' 25-year history. The event, often referred to as "the Oscars of the aviation industry," took place on June 24 in London. Skytrax, the organisers of the awards, cover all customer survey costs and event expenses to maintain impartiality and independence.
Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, expressed his pride in receiving the award and attributed it to the airline's commitment to exceptional service and innovation. In addition to being named World's Best Airline 2024, Qatar Airways also won top honours for World's Best Business Class, World's Best Business Class Lounge, and Best Airline in the Middle East.
Top Airlines in 2024
The previous year's winner, Singapore Airlines, ranked second globally for 2024, followed by Emirates in third place, ANA All Nippon Airways in fourth, and Cathay Pacific in fifth position out of over 350 airlines surveyed. Singapore Airlines also claimed the award for World's Best Cabin Staff and continued its dominance with its First Class Suites winning World's Best First Class.
Saudi Arabian Airlines was recognised as the World's Most Improved Airline. Meanwhile, AirAsia maintained its title as World's Best Low-Cost Airline since 2010, and Scoot received an award for being the World's Best Long Haul Low-Cost Airline. British Airways was honoured as the World's Most Family Friendly Airline. Cathay Pacific won the award for World's Best Economy Class, while Japan Airlines secured the title for World's Best Premium Economy Class.
