New Direct Flights Launched From Sharjah To Kraków
In a significant development for the aviation sector, Sharjah Airport, in partnership with Air Arabia, has commenced the premiere direct flight operations from Sharjah to Kraków, Poland. This new service underscores the airport's strategy for growth and expansion, offering passengers more travel choices. The route will see three flights per week, with plans to scale up the frequency in response to demand.
The inaugural ceremony was led by Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA), and Jakub Kacper Sławek, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the UAE. The event was attended by senior officials and managers from both SAA and Air Arabia, marking a landmark moment in the aviation history between the two nations.

Al Midfa highlighted the significance of the new air route, pointing out its alignment with the increasing travel and cargo demand between the UAE and Poland. This move is anticipated to bolster mutual relations spanning economic, commercial, and tourism sectors, including events and conferences. The initiative is expected to draw more tourists to Sharjah, renowned for its diverse offerings in tourism, entertainment, and cultural heritage.
Sharjah's strategic location and its airport's comprehensive travel services system have been instrumental in enhancing its appeal as a global tourist destination. With connections to 26 international airlines and over 100 destinations across 63 countries, Sharjah Airport has solidified its position as a key hub for international travellers.
Al Midfa further accentuated the value added by Sharjah Airport's high international standard travel facilitations. These efforts are directed towards making Sharjah an attractive destination for tourists worldwide, contributing to the emirate's tourism and economic growth.
The introduction of direct flights to Kraków not only facilitates easier access between the UAE and Poland but also opens new avenues for cultural exchanges and strengthens bilateral ties.
