Flying Via Oman Air? Boarding Rules Have Been Updated

Oman Airports has introduced modifications to the passenger boarding system (PBS) at Muscat International Airport, starting from August 4. Passengers are now required to be at the electronic boarding gates no later than 40 minutes before their flight departure time. After this period, access to the boarding gates will be restricted.

Check-in procedures will remain as they are, closing 60 minutes before the scheduled flight departure. Oman Air has highlighted the necessity of timely arrival at the boarding gates to ensure a hassle-free travel experience.

Oman Air issued a statement addressing these changes: "Dear valued guests, due to updates in the Passenger Boarding System (PBS) at Muscat International Airport, starting August 4th, guests are kindly requested to report to the electronic boarding gates at least 40 minutes prior to your flight departure time to ensure a smooth travel experience. Please note that access to the boarding gates will be restricted after this time. Our check-in procedures will remain unchanged and will close 60 minutes before flight departure time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation."
