Munich Airport Enhances Arabic Guest Experience With Free Personal Shopping Service. Where And How To Avail?
Munich Airport has introduced a new Personal Shopping Service designed for Arabic travelers. As a key entry point for visitors from the Arab world, the airport aims to improve passenger experiences continuously.
This summer, passengers flying from Terminal 1 with airlines like Emirates, Qatar, Etihad, Kuwait Airlines, Oman Air, Saudia, and Gulf Air can use Arabic-speaking shopping assistants. These assistants are fluent in both language and culture.

The Personal Shopping Service is free of charge and available daily from 10 am to 6 pm during peak travel season until the end of September. It can be booked easily via WhatsApp, telephone, or email.
The Personal Shopping Service encourages travelers to explore Munich Airport's MyDutyFree shops. These shops offer a curated selection of halal and alcohol-free products. Passengers can enjoy regional confectionery from top producers and renowned chocolatiers like Neuhaus. Additionally, accessories from international brands such as Coccinelle and Longchamp are available.
In the MyDutyFree perfumery, guests will find exclusive perfumes and cosmetic brands like Chanel, Bulgari Le Gemme, and Armani Privé. Personalized assistance ensures that all items purchased can be taken on board without luggage restrictions.
"We are excited to introduce this specialized service, further cementing Munich Airport's reputation as the preferred choice for Arab travelers," says Sven Zahn, CEO eurotrade Flughafen Munchen Handels-0mbH at Munich Airport. "Our aim is to not only meet but exceed the expectations of our guests, and the introduction of the Personal Shopping Service is a testament to our commitment to providing exceptional service."
The continued high demand for air travel at Munich Airport is reflected in the air traffic results for the first half of 2024: There were more than 19 million passengers from January 1 to June 30 – an increase of 14.8% compared to the same period last year.
This means that Munich Airport achieved almost 85 percent of the passenger volume of the record year 2019 in the first half of 2024. The average load factor for aircraft in Munich has never been higher: With a value of 80%, Munich Airport has set a record here.
