IndiGo Announces New Direct Flights From Abu Dhabi To Three South Indian Cities

Abu Dhabi Airports, which manages the Emirate's five airports, has recently announced the launch of three new direct routes by Indian airline IndiGo.

These new routes will link Zayed International Airport (AUH) to Mangaluru (IXE), Tiruchirappalli (TRZ), and Coimbatore (CJB) in India. This expansion increases the number of IndiGo-operated routes to 13, enhancing connectivity between Abu Dhabi and key Indian destinations. The new routes are anticipated to attract more visitors from India to Abu Dhabi. They will also offer residents more travel options within India.

Nathalie Jongma, Vice President of Aviation Development at Abu Dhabi Airports, expressed enthusiasm about the new routes. She stated, "We are extremely encouraged by this announcement as it reflects the vibrancy of our respective hubs. This expansion is about much more than just adding flights - it is about creating accessible links for families and friends, opening new pathways for businesses, and building on our successful partnership with Indigo."

Sanjeev Ramdas, Executive Vice President Airport Operations and Customer Services at IndiGo, highlighted the importance of Abu Dhabi as a hub. He said, "This expansion strengthens our presence in the region and underlines the vital role Abu Dhabi plays as a hub for our travellers."

The introduction of these new routes aims to provide more travel options for passengers. It also seeks to foster stronger ties between Abu Dhabi and various Indian cities. The move is expected to benefit both leisure and business travellers by offering more convenient travel choices.

This development marks another step in enhancing air travel connectivity between the UAE and India. It underscores the commitment of both Abu Dhabi Airports and IndiGo to meet growing passenger demand. The recent launch of these routes is part of a broader strategy to expand flight networks. It aims to cater to increasing passenger traffic between these two regions.
