Empower And Adventure Awaits: Gulf For Good’s Mt. Kilimanjaro Ladies-Only Challenge
Embarking on an adventurous journey while contributing to a noble cause, the Gulf for Good Mt. Kilimanjaro Ladies Only Challenge presents a unique opportunity for women with a spirit of adventure. Scheduled from July 15th to 25th, this expedition aims to unite women from various corners of the globe to scale Africa's highest peak, Mt. Kilimanj, all while supporting Foundation of African Empowerment (FAE). Each participant is tasked with raising AED 5,000 to aid in FAE's mission to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and youth in Tanzania.
This ladies-only expedition is designed to foster a supportive and empowering environment, allowing participants to challenge themselves physically and mentally. It encourages camaraderie and solidarity, offering a safe and inclusive space for women to connect, share unforgettable experiences, and contribute to making a significant difference in the world.

The Foundation for African Empowerment (FAE) is a dedicated nonprofit organization focusing on improving the quality of life for children and youth in Tanzania, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. FAE's projects span inclusive education, healthcare, nutrition, water, sanitation, hygiene initiatives, empowerment programs for families and young people, efforts to combat violence, as well as awareness-raising and advocacy endeavors.
Several participants have already expressed their excitement and motivation for joining this empowering journey:
Julia MacDonald, a Pilates Instructor, shared, "Approaching 50, I've decided it's now or never to challenge myself and have signed up to climb Kilimanjaro in July 2024. I'm excited about the journey, climbing with friends and clients, and the unforgettable experiences we'll share. This will be a wonderful story to tell my future grandchildren."
Maya Ghrewati, reflecting on her reasons for joining, stated, "Turning 50 this year, I wanted a goal to work towards, an incentive to get fitter and stronger, and an inspiration for my children. I'm looking forward to challenging myself physically and mentally and will be very proud if I achieve this goal."
Ellie Ashton, a Gulf for Good Challenge Rep, emphasized the broader significance of the challenge, "Mount Kilimanjaro isn't just about conquering a peak; it's about empowering women to conquer their own personal summits, both on the mountain and beyond. I'm thrilled to lead this journey, where we'll support each other and celebrate every step. Together, we're breaking barriers and making a real difference."
