Now Fly Directly To Basel 4 Times A Week From Dubai
flydubai has inaugurated its first direct flight from Dubai to Basel, becoming the UAE first national carrier to do so. This new route will operate four times a week, Dubai International (DXB) with EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL).
With this addition, flydubai now serves 29 destinations in Europe. These include cities like Budapest, Catania, Krakow, Milan-Bergamo, Prague, Salzburg, and Zagreb.

Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, highlighted the airline's commitment to expanding its network. "At flydubai, we are committed to opening up underserved destinations and creating free flows of trade and tourism, and we are pleased to add Basel to our network in Europe," Efendi stated.
He further explained the strategic importance of EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg. "EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg serves Switzerland, France and Germany, making it an important hub for travel, trade and tourism in the tri-border region that will benefit our customers from the UAE and beyond."
Efendi also expressed enthusiasm about welcoming more European travellers to Dubai. "We also look forward to welcoming more travellers from Europe to Dubai and beyond on the flydubai network," he said.
The new route offers convenient connections for passengers travelling from Basel through Dubai's aviation hub. Destinations such as Kenya, the Maldives, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand are now more accessible.
The introduction of this service is expected to boost trade and tourism between the UAE and the tri-border region served by EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg.
flydubai's growing network in Europe reflects its ongoing efforts to cater to increasing passenger demand while fostering international relations through enhanced air travel connections.
