Explore The Best Of Both Worlds In Ras Al Khaimah And Musandam With 'See Double' Campaign
The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) and the Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, along with the OMRAN Group, have recently announced the launch of their See Double campaign. This initiative, designed to encourage tourism between the nature emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and the nearby governate of Oman, Musandam, was revealed at the ITB Berlin, a major global travel industry event held from March 5-7. The campaign aims to offer visitors a unique experience that combines the attractions of both destinations into a single trip, highlighting the ease of travel between these locations, which are just a 90-minute drive apart.
Following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in November 2023, the 'See Double' campaign seeks to boost international tourism by showcasing the shared natural beauty, rich history, and cultural heritage of Ras Al Khaimah and Musandam. Tourists are encouraged to take advantage of the 'Kids Go Free' offers at many hotels and attractions, maximising the value of their visit.

The campaign emphasises the adventure and beauty that can be experienced in both locations. Notable highlights include the 64km of Ras Al Khaimah's stunning coastline and dolphin spotting in Musandam, the world's longest zipline on Jebel Jais and the unique over-water zipline in Musandam, and the traditional attractions such as Suwaidi Pearls and Musandam dhow cruises. Additionally, ancient military forts and exhilarating outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain toboggan rides are also part of the package, with special offers for families.
This summer promotion, running from June 15 until September 15, not only aims to attract families by making it more affordable for children to participate in activities but also showcases the diverse attractions available in both destinations.
Raki Phillips, CEO of RAKTDA, expressed enthusiasm about the See Double campaign, highlighting it as a pioneering effort in the region that leverages the strong synergy between Ras Al Khaimah and the Musandam Governate. This campaign aligns with the trend towards more seamless, borderless travel, enhancing accessibility and convenience for international travellers.
Haitham Al Ghassani, Director General for Tourism Promotion at Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, shared his excitement for the collaboration, pointing out the variety of experiences available to families and travellers. He emphasised the appeal of the cooler mountain and sea temperatures during the summer, making it an ideal time for visits.
The See Double campaign marks a significant step in cross-destination tourism promotion in the region, showcasing the natural landscapes, historical sites, cultural richness, and adventure opportunities of Ras Al Khaimah and Musandam. This collaboration between RAKTDA, Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, and OMRAN Group sets a precedent for future tourism initiatives, aiming to attract a wider audience to explore these unique destinations.
