Etihad Airways Records 10.4 Million Passengers From January To July 2024

Etihad Airways, the UAE's national airline, has shared its preliminary traffic data for July 2024. The airline reported welcoming 1.7 million passengers during the month, achieving an impressive average load factor of 89 percent.

The airline's year-to-date passenger count reached 10.4 million, marking an increase of 2.8 million from the same period last year. As of July 2024, Etihad's rolling 12-month passenger total stands at 16.8 million.

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, commented on the figures: "Our passenger numbers in July surged by 33% compared to the same period year, undersc our continuing strong growth."

Neves highlighted the fleet expansion: "Our fleet continues to grow, expanding to 93 aircraft from 78 in July 2023, and we now serve 10 more destinations than we did a year ago."

The load factor of 89% in July reflects Etihad's successful performance during a peak summer period. This achievement comes amidst significant capacity expansion since 2023.
