Etihad Airways Launches First Direct Flight From Abu Dhabi To Atlanta, USA
For the first time, Etihad Airways has landed in Atlanta, marking a significant extension of its services in the United States. This development connects the vibrant cultural and business hub of the US Southeast with Abu Dhabi, facilitating greater accessibility and travel options for passengers.
This inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi's Zayed International Airport to Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on 2 July represents a key addition to Etihad's service offerings in the US. Atlanta now stands alongside New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Boston as the fifth American destination in Etihad's extensive network.

Passengers departing from Abu Dhabi are afforded a unique advantage thanks to the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance facility located at Zayed International Airport. This exclusive feature allows travelers to complete U.S. immigration and customs inspections before departure. Consequently, passengers can enter the United States as domestic arrivals, significantly reducing their processing time upon arrival.
Antonoaldo Neves, the Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, expressed his enthusiasm about the new service. He stated, "Atlanta is a dynamic city with deep cultural, economic, and aviation significance. This new service enhances access to the southeastern United States while offering seamless connections across the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Asia."
Neves further highlighted the convenience offered by the U.S. Preclearance facility at Zayed International Airport, enabling passengers to enjoy the benefits of arriving in Atlanta as domestic travelers. He added, "We're delighted to bring our award-winning experience to guests travelling to and from Atlanta."
The service operates under the flight numbers EY13 and EY14. EY13 departs from Abu Dhabi at 09:20 and arrives in Atlanta at 16:20, running on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. From November, this service will become daily.
Conversely, EY14 leaves Atlanta at 22:00 and reaches Abu Dhabi at 19:30 the following day, with the same frequency and expansion to daily flights in November. Both legs of the journey utilize the A350-1000 aircraft, known for its comfort and efficiency.
