Emirates Launches New Daily Route To This Chinese City

The recent visa exemption for GCC travelers to China for up to 30 days further facilitates easy travel for Emirates' customers with Emirates commencing its new daily route to Shenzhen on July 1. This addition signifies Emirates' commitment to expanding its East Asia operations and marks its fourth destination within the Chinese mainland.

Travelers on this route will experience Emirates' renowned service on upgraded Boeing 777s, featuring luxurious private suites in First Class, spacious seating in Economy, and the newly introduced Premium Economy Class. Notably, Shenzhen is the first city in the Chinese mainland to welcome Emirates' retrofitted aircraft, showcasing the airline's investment in passenger comfort.

New Emirates Daily Route to Shenzhen

Emirates has significantly bolstered its presence in China, now offering 42 weekly flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. This expansion provides passengers and businesses with greater flexibility and choices for travel within and beyond the Chinese mainland. It underscores Emirates' role in fostering global connectivity through its comprehensive flight schedule.

The service to Shenzhen, using a Boeing 777-300ER with four classes, departs Dubai in the morning and returns from Shenzhen late at night. This ensures convenient scheduling for travelers aiming to connect to various global destinations via Dubai, including major cities in Europe and Africa.

Enhancing Global Connections

Flights to Shenzhen are strategically timed to facilitate connections to several European cities like London, Paris, and Amsterdam. They also provide seamless access to destinations in Africa and the Middle East, emphasizing Emirates' global network's role in enhancing travel options for its passengers.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and CCO of Emirates Airline, said, "We are excited to launch our new daily service to Shenzhen — one of China's most dynamic and innovative cities. This milestone reflects Emirates' ongoing commitment to strengthening our presence in the Chinese mainland and supporting the country's trade and tourism objectives.

"It is also aligned with the strengthening of China-UAE relations, and a strategic move to seamlessly connect the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's innovation corridor — an international innovation and technology (I&T) hub that aims to attract global innovation resources, through our flights.

"We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Shenzhen Airport Group and our local partners for their support in making this launch possible. We look forward to connecting more travelers and businesses between Shenzhen and Dubai and across our growing network."

The launch of the Shenzhen service comes as the economic partnership between the UAE and China continues to flourish, with bilateral trade soaring to US$95 billion in 2023. The aviation sector plays a pivotal role in this growth, with Emirates at the forefront of enhancing connectivity.
