Eid Al Fitr: Emirates Braces For 80,000 Daily Travelers At Dubai T3 With Peak-Time Tips
As the Eid Al Fitr holiday approaches, Emirates is gearing up for a significant influx of travelers at Dubai's Terminal 3, particularly on March 28-29 and April 5-6. During these dates, over 80,000 passengers daily are expected to depart for their spring break vacations, marking these periods as the peak travel times.
Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead for their journey to Dubai's Terminal 3, considering the anticipated traffic congestion around the entrance. Emirates advises travelers to allow additional time for their commute to the airport to mitigate the risk of any travel delays.

To facilitate a smooth airport experience, Emirates has outlined specific recommendations for its customers.
- Travelers are advised to arrive at the airport three hours before their flight's scheduled departure. Furthermore, passengers should be mindful of their boarding times to guarantee timely arrival at their departure gates, avoiding any unnecessary hold-ups.
- Emirates offers a variety of check-in alternatives to accommodate the diverse needs of its passengers. Options include online check-in via the airline's website or app, starting 48 hours before departure, city check-in, and travel store check-in at ICD Brookfield Place available from 24 hours to 4 hours before takeoff. This excludes passengers flying to the United States.
- Additionally, Emirates provides a home check-in service, self-service kiosks, and mobile check-in ports at Terminal 3, as well as a check-in facility at the Ajman Central Bus Terminal for travelers from the northern Emirates.
- For added convenience, passengers have the option to drop off their luggage at the airport the evening before their flight without incurring any extra fees, or they can check in early and leave their bags up to 24 hours before departure. Those flying to the US can do so 12 hours in advance. This enables travelers to bypass the check-in counters and proceed directly to immigration or the Smart Tunnel, streamlining their airport process.
- Travelers must clear passport control and security checks at least 90 minutes before their flight. Emirates emphasizes the importance of arriving at the boarding gate no later than 60 minutes before departure for those flying in Premium Economy or Economy Class, and 45 minutes prior for First or Business Class passengers.
- Boarding gates will close 20 minutes before the flight's departure, and latecomers will not be accepted for travel. The airline strictly adheres to its check-in and gate closure times to maintain punctuality for all its flights.
