Emirates Adds Bahrain To Its Brand-New A350 Network Expansion, Bookings Open Now

Emirates has unveiled plans to integrate its brand-new A350 aircraft into its fleet starting September 2024, marking a significant enhancement in its service offerings. The airline anticipates the arrival of 10 A350s by March 31, 2025, with these aircraft set to serve nine destinations, enhancing Emirates' signature experiences across three classes.

The introduction of these A350s not just about expanding the fleet but also enriching the customer experience. Each aircraft will feature 32 next-generation Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 Economy Class seats, all designed to offer superior comfort and space. The focus will be on short to medium-haul routes within the Middle East, GCC, West Asia, and Europe, starting with Bahrain as the inaugural destination.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates Airline, highlighted the A350's role in maintaining Emirates' competitive edge. He emphasized the aircraft's operational efficiency and flexibility, which will allow the airline to offer its latest cabin products, including the highly acclaimed Premium Economy, across more cities. Kazim's statement reflects Emirates' commitment to investing in customer experience, with the A350 playing a crucial role in this strategy.

The new A350s will commence service to various cities as follows:

  • Bahrain will see the A350 on the daily EK839/840 service from 15 September, with a frequency increase planned for 1 November.
  • Kuwait will welcome the A350 on the daily EK853/854 service starting 16 September.
  • From 1 December, Muscat will be served by the A350 on the daily EK866/867 flight.

In West Asia

  • Mumbai's EK502/503 service will feature the A350 from 27 October.
  • The A350 will fly to Ahmedabad daily on the EK538/539 service from 27 October.
  • Colombo will receive A350 service on its fourth daily EK654/655 flight from 1 January 2025.

In Europe

  • Lyon and Bologna will both be served by the A350 from 1 December.
  • Edinburgh will rejoin Emirates' network on 4 November, with the A350 service. Further details are forthcoming.

Additional destinations are set to be announced as more aircraft join the Emirates fleet. Tickets for these A350 flights are now available for purchase, offering passengers the opportunity to experience the aircraft's spacious cabins, high ceilings, and customised mood lighting aimed at reducing jet lag.

The acquisition of 65 A350-900s is part of Emirates' strategic plan to support its future growth and the Dubai D33 economic agenda, spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. This initiative aims to expand Dubai's foreign trade map to include 400 cities over the next decade, underlining the airline's role in the city's ambitious growth plans.

Customers interested in experiencing the A350's advanced features, including its latest generation cabin products, can book their flights through Emirates' official website, the Emirates App, or via travel agents.
