Discover Dubai's Iconic Landmarks At Just Dh35 With RTA's Latest On & Off Bus Service Initiative
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is introducing a new initiative this September called the On & Off Bus (Touristic Bus). This service aims to attract both residents and visitors to explore the city's iconic landmarks and tourist attractions. Dubai, known for its constant innovation, offers a plethora of unique experiences for everyone.
Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of the Public Transport Agency at RTA, emphasised the importance of tourism in boosting Dubai's economy. He noted that tourism plays a crucial role in driving the emirate's economic growth and GDP.
"The On & Off Bus would lift residents and visitors to 'Discover Dubai, One Stop at a Time.' Starting from Dubai Mall, passengers will enjoy visiting eight of Dubai's key attractions and celebrated landmarks, namely: Dubai Frame, Heritage Village, Museum of the Future, Gold Souk, Dubai Mall, La Mer Beach, Jumeirah Mosque, and City Walk. The bus will pass through nine stops across the eight landmarks in addition to Al Ghubaiba Metro, Bus and Marine Transport Station," added Bahrozyan.
"The Dubai On & Off Bus will also contribute to the integration of the public transport system in Dubai as it connects with other modes of public transport, such as the metro, marine transport, and public buses, especially at Al Ghubaiba station, which is a hub for metro, marine, and public bus services," said Bahrozyan.
The bus service will start from Dubai Mall and operate from 10 AM to 10 PM. It will have a frequency of 60 minutes. The journey through eight key attractions will take two hours. The fare is set at Dh35 per person for an entire day.
Bahrozyan highlighted that tourists are drawn to Dubai due to its safety, security, world-class services, and robust infrastructure. These factors make it an attractive destination for tourists, businesspeople, and investors alike.
The new bus service aims to enhance the overall experience for both residents and visitors by offering a convenient way to explore multiple attractions in one day. This initiative is part of RTA's broader efforts to support tourism in Dubai.
