Travel Tips for a Smooth Journey
- Travellers are advised to allow extra time for check-in, security screening, and boarding processes to ensure a smooth journey. Dubai Airports is committed to delivering an exceptional travel experience and appreciates the cooperation and understanding of guests during this busy season.
- Emirates passengers can use the airline's home, early and self-check-in facilities, including city check-in options. Flydubai passengers should arrive at least four hours before departure. Guests flying with other airlines should aim to arrive no earlier than three hours before their scheduled departure time and use online check-in where available.
- To save time at security screening, travellers should place metal items such as watches, jewellery, mobile phones, coins, and belts in their hand luggage. Follow guidelines for carrying liquids, aerosols, and gels. Families with children over 12 can expedite passport control by using Smart Gates.
- Ensure you are aware of the latest travel regulations for your destination and have all necessary documents ready. Organise your travel documents in advance and weigh your luggage at home to avoid surprises at the airport.
- Remember to pack spare batteries and power banks in your hand luggage. Farewells should be exchanged at home as only guests will be permitted inside the terminals during peak periods.
- Use the Dubai Metro for transportation to and from the airport and between Terminals 1 and 3 to avoid road congestion. Access to the arrivals' forecourts in both Terminals 1 and 3 is restricted to public transport and authorised airport vehicles only.
This significant increase in traffic underscores DXB's robust growth this year. The airport's commitment to providing a seamless travel experience remains steadfast despite the expected surge in passenger numbers.
