Discover Qatar Unveils Air Tours For A Bird's-Eye View Of Doha
Qatar Airways' destination management division, Discover Qatar, has unveiled a new and exclusive air tour named Discover Doha by Air, aimed at offering travellers a unique vantage point of Qatar's stunning landscapes and iconic sites. This service allows up to eight passengers to enjoy a 45-minute flight aboard a Cessna 208 Caravan, a light turboprop aircraft renowned for its large viewing windows and comfortable, air-conditioned cabin. The tour is designed to provide an unparalleled aerial exploration experience, combining adventure with the thrill of discovery.
The air tour's route showcases Qatar's architectural marvels and natural beauty, starting from the Doha International Airport Premium Terminal. Highlights include flybys of Al Thumama Stadium, Aspire Zone, Education City, Lusail Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, and Thakira Mangrove Forest. The journey also encompasses views of The Pearl Island, Al Safliya Island, Katara Cultural Village, and West Bay, culminating in a flyover of the Corniche, National Museum of Qatar, Museum of Islamic Art, and Stadium 974.
Discover Doha by Air is scheduled to take its inaugural flight on Thursday, June 27, with bookings now open. The experience is priced at QR710 ($195) for both adults and children over two years, while infants under two can join the tour free of charge. Additionally, a special package is available for passengers with a transit time of six or more hours at Hamad International Airport, starting from QR850 ($233), which includes private return transfers between the two airports.
Steven Reynolds, Senior Vice President of Discover Qatar, highlighted the initiative's aim to continuously enhance their service offerings to surpass customer expectations. He invited guests to embark on an unforgettable aerial journey around Doha, promising views of remarkable landscapes and cultural treasures. The meticulously planned air tour includes in-flight commentary from the pilots, ensuring an informative and immersive experience.
