Cape Town International Airport Welcomes Record 10 Million Passengers In 2023/2024
Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) has reached a significant achievement by welcoming over 10 million passengers in the 2023/2024 financial year, a first in its history. This milestone was highlighted by the Airports Company South Africa (Acsa), marking a significant rebound in passenger traffic, especially from international and regional flights, since the impact of Covid-19. The climax of this achievement came in March 2023, when CTIA processed over 320,000 passengers, surpassing initial expectations.
Mark Maclean, the regional general manager for Acsa's Cluster 2, shared his positive outlook on this achievement, noting the consistent increase in passenger numbers throughout the year.
