Bahrain Introduces Tourist Passport: Unlock Manama's Best Attractions

This Eid Al Adha marks the launch of an innovative adventure for tourists visiting Bahrain: the "Tourist Passport." Introduced by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), this initiative is set to attract visitors to the dynamic city of Manama, encouraging exploration of its varied attractions.

In line with celebrating Manama's recognition as the Capital of Gulf Tourism, the BTEA is focusing on creating novel tourism experiences. BTEA CEO, Sarah Buhijji, highlighted that the Tourist Passport is not just a celebration of Manama’s prestigious title but is also aimed at amplifying tourism throughout the year.

A Passport to Adventure

The Tourist Passport grants access to 18 diverse attractions in Manama, ranging from cultural and historical sites to beaches, dining areas, and shopping centres. Visitors will receive digital stamps for each site visited, enhancing their chances to win attractive monthly prizes. Prizes feature luxurious two-night stays in Bahrain for families or couples, inclusive of accommodation, meals, spa sessions, and beach access. Additional benefits include hotel vouchers and shopping mall gift cards.

Tourists can obtain their passports at key points such as Bahrain International Airport, City Centre Bahrain Mall, or The Avenues. Scanning a QR code at each attraction adds a digital stamp to the passport, increasing the likelihood of winning monthly prizes.

Dive into Manama's Treasures

The Tourist Passport opens doors to a plethora of attractions in Manama. Noteworthy sites include the bustling Manama Souq and Bab Al Bahrain, the Postal Department Museum, the UNESCO-listed Bahrain Fort, the monumental Al Fateh Mosque, and the Bahrain National Museum. For art and history enthusiasts, Al Riwaq Art Space and Bait Al Salal offer engaging exhibitions and insights into traditional crafts. The passport also covers leisure and shopping destinations such as Block 338, The Wharf – Bahrain Bay, and several malls like Moda Mall, City Centre Bahrain, The Avenues, Al Aali Mall, and Seef Mall.

The BTEA's Tourist Passport initiative promises a deeply enriching experience for those visiting Manama.
