October 16, 2026: Leysha Basmati Rice, a division of the SSIEL Group, has named National Award-winning actress Yami Gautam Dhar as its brand ambassador. Yami will spearhead the brand's upcoming promotional efforts, embodying the core philosophy of 'Cook Brilliance Today'.

Leysha Basmati Rice is built on a simple conviction: true brilliance is not limited to special events. It is found in daily life, reflected in the effort put into cooking and the caliber of ingredients used. As a staple of the Indian kitchen—whether it is a simple bowl of rajma chawal or dal-chawal, or celebratory dishes like kheer and biryani—Leysha maintains that the perfect grain elevates a standard meal into something truly special.

Yami Gautam Dhar embodies this philosophy naturally. Her partnership with Leysha Basmati Rice started with a genuine investigation into what defines premium basmati. Interested in the nuances that set varieties apart, she sampled several options to understand the differences. Leysha’s unique aroma was the deciding factor. That signature fragrance, essential to the basmati experience, captivated her before she even tasted the rice, heightening the excitement of a home-cooked meal. This combination of superior quality, flavor, and scent solidified her preference for the brand, transforming this collaboration into a genuine endorsement rather than a standard commercial partnership.

Commenting on the association, National Award-winning actress Yami Gautam Dhar said, "I believe brilliance lies in the small, thoughtful choices we make every day. In cooking, the quality of ingredients can transform an everyday meal into something memorable. Rice is an integral part of every Indian household, and I’m happy to be associated with Leysha in bringing the idea of everyday brilliance to homes across India."

Aman Gupta, Managing Director, SSIEL Group, Leysha Basmati Rice, said, "Yami Gautam Dhar brings together a contemporary outlook and a deep connection to the warmth and traditions of Indian families. That balance matters to us, because Indian food has evolved with us while staying rooted in our culture. Rice is at the heart of countless food memories, and Leysha's promise is to bring brilliance to every one of them, in every grain. With Yami, we see an opportunity to celebrate that in a way that feels fresh, relevant and truly today."

As the face of Leysha, Yami Gautam Dhar will lead the brand's 360-degree communication strategy, which spans television, OTT, cinema, outdoor, digital, and social media platforms. She will also play an active role in major brand initiatives, such as product launches and consumer-focused events.
