Mission ShakthiSAT: How 12,000 Girls Are Making Lunar History

Gautam Buddha University, GNIDA, Space Kidz India & IN-SPACe Join Hands to Power India's All-Girls Lunar Mission ShakthiSAT. Marking a significant milestone in the advancement of space technology, STEM education, and female leadership in science, Gautam Buddha University (GBU) has joined hands with Space Kidz India and IN-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre) to back Mission ShakthiSAT, the world's first all-girls international satellite mission to the Moon.

Mission ShakthiSAT serves as a worldwide platform uniting 12,000 young girls from 108 countries, offering them practical experience in satellite engineering, space research, innovation, and cross-border scientific cooperation. Spearheaded by Space Kidz India, the project is designed to motivate and equip the next generation of female scientists, engineers, and industry leaders.

As a key academic and institutional partner, Gautam Buddha University is set to bolster mission objectives through research, innovation, interdisciplinary study, and scientific engagement. Space Kidz India extends its sincere gratitude to Prof. Rana Pratap Singh, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Gautam Buddha University, for his forward-thinking leadership and support in enhancing academic involvement in this historic global endeavor. Following the successful completion of Phase One, which focused on global STEM education and foundational technical training, the mission is now transitioning into satellite development, payload integration, international collaboration, and launch preparation.
