Jayden Jain's US Debut: A Masterclass in First-Round Submission

Jayden Jain: Could the Next Big Indian MMA Talent Be Rising in Missouri? An Indian fighter has secured a first-round triangle-choke submission on American soil, drawing attention to the influence of Indian coaches and the expanding global footprint of Indian MMA. FLORISSANT, MISSOURI — October 27, 2026 — A young athlete hailing from Deolali, Nashik, Maharashtra, is starting to carve out a reputation within the American combat sports scene.

On October 10, Jayden Jain put on a standout display at NFA 24, where he bested Absolute Martial Arts’ Drew Rascas via a first-round triangle-choke submission during his amateur MMA debut. Jain stepped into the cage with a 0–0 amateur MMA record, while Rascas held a 0–1 record. Despite facing an experienced martial artist, Jain locked in the submission early in the first round, kicking off his competitive MMA career with a statement win. More than just the outcome, however, Jain’s success highlights a larger narrative regarding Indian martial arts, the mentors shaping these fighters, and the pathways open to athletes on the international stage.

Jayden Jain Dominates US Debut

A victory built on Indian coaching

Jayden is currently honing his craft at Tigers Gym & Fight Club in Florissant, Missouri, training under the guidance of Dan Isaac, Lorelei Isaac, and Alan Fernandes. His quick finish serves as a testament to the efforts of Indian coaches who are equipping athletes to face international competition. Jain’s martial arts journey started at age seven, training in Ishudo—a family-based discipline founded by Grandmaster Solomon Isaac—under Coach Dan Isaac. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, he started Brazilian jiu-jitsu under the tutelage of Alan Fernandes, a BJJ instructor and former MMA champion who was in the United States at the time. Since then, his skillset has broadened across various combat disciplines. Jain currently maintains a 3–1 amateur boxing record with USA Boxing and has participated in boxing, sport MMA, and grappling events. This recent win also underscores the ongoing dialogue surrounding the cultivation of Indian MMA talent and the impact of homegrown coaching squads in readying fighters for the global arena.

From Deolali to the United States

Jayden is the son of Jitendra and Pallavi Jain, with roots in Deolali, Nashik, Maharashtra. With his father working as a business owner and his mother serving as a kickboxing coach, martial arts has always been a part of his family life. Jayden attended Barnes School, Deolali, before relocating to the United States in 2017. After graduating from Gateway Legacy Christian Academy, he is now working toward a film degree at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. By juggling his university education with his competitive fighting career, Jain embodies a path that bridges two nations, years of dedicated training, and an unwavering commitment to athletic growth.

Is Jayden Jain the next Indian MMA fighter to watch?

Indian fighters are increasingly pursuing chances on major global stages, such as Dana White’s Contender Series and The Ultimate Fighter. Jain’s first-round submission introduces another promising athlete into the discussion regarding the trajectory of Indian MMA. While a single win does not define a career, the nature of Jain’s debut provides a promising foundation. His showing also underscores the value of his coaching staff and the capability of Indian-led training groups to ready athletes for American competition. For Jain, the road ahead involves consistent training, gaining more experience, and chasing additional opportunities within the competitive MMA landscape.
