Calling all Dumka musicians: Havells mYOUsic is coming to your city

Havells mYOUsic Expands Its Reach, Deepening Support for India’s Independent Music Scene

NATIONAL, 7th July 2026: Havells India is bringing its cultural initiative, Havells mYOUsic, to Dumka, Jharkhand, marking the platform's debut in the state. The auditions, set for 12th July 2026 at the Convention Centre, Dumka, offer a stage for aspiring singers, lyricists, composers, music producers, rappers, and singer-songwriters to present their original material, gain insights from industry experts, and join an expanding community of independent musicians.

Building on the momentum from successful editions in Delhi and Indore, Havells mYOUsic has already logged over 2,200 registrations. More than 700 artistes have participated in on-ground auditions across these cities, complemented by a robust volume of online entries. The nationwide interest underscores a clear demand for platforms that bridge the gap between talent discovery, professional mentorship, and industry access.

By heading to Dumka, Havells mYOUsic persists in its mission to reach areas where remarkable talent frequently goes unnoticed. Given Jharkhand’s deep-rooted musical heritage and its lively community of up-and-coming artistes, this new chapter is designed to provide local musicians with tangible ways to engage with the industry and present their original work on a national stage.

Central to this initiative is Havells India’s dedication to uplifting grassroots artistes. The program focuses on fostering growth, facilitating collaboration, and helping musicians build sustainable careers by providing essential mentorship and direct industry access.

Diverging from standard talent contests, Havells mYOUsic prioritizes an artiste-first approach. Attendees benefit from constructive critiques by seasoned professionals, direct engagement with mentors, and real-world knowledge regarding songwriting, music production, live performance, and the practicalities of navigating the modern music industry.

Previous editions featured an accomplished lineup of mentors and industry leaders including Sandesh Shandilya, Osho Jain, Tarsame Mittal, Rohith Sobti, Laksh Maheshwari, Geet Sagar, Jatin Bisht, Amit Sharma, Siddharth Pandit, Vasav Vashisht, Moon, Uzma A. Khan, Rumpa Banerjee, and Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi, who shared their knowledge and interacted closely with participating artistes. The platform has also featured performances by artists including YUGM, Osho Jain, Laksh Maheshwari, Harshad Golesar, Duhita Golesar, The Shloka, and Buland Himalay, making each edition a celebration of India's independent music ecosystem.

Selected artistes from the auditions will move into a structured artist bootcamp later this year, where they will collaborate with mentors to create original music and audio-visual content while receiving support across production, branding and distribution. The initiative is designed to support artistes beyond the audition stage and help them take the next step in their creative journey.

Mukesh Kumar Jain, Vice President, Havells India, said: "Havells has always been a brand that celebrates the spirit of India, empowering progress in homes, businesses, and communities. With Havells mYOUsic, we are extending this philosophy into the cultural fabric of the nation. There is immense talent in the country which only needs the right platform to discover, curate, release their original work and gain exposure, fandom and monetization. Every city adds a new chapter to this movement, and we are delighted to bring Havells mYOUsic to Jharkhand for the first time. We look forward to discovering the incredible talent and unique musical voices that the region has to offer."

Vinit Karnik, Managing Director, Entertainment, Sports, Partnership and Content at WPP Media said: "The response to Havells mYOUsic over the last two editions has shown us that talented artistes are everywhere, they just need the right platform to be seen and heard. Taking the movement to Dumka is an important step in reaching communities that haven't always had access to opportunities like this. We hope this platform encourages more artistes to step forward and share their original work."

Rohith Sobti, Curator and Co-Founder of The Shakti Collective, said: "The most exciting part of this journey has been discovering incredible talent in places where people aren't usually looking. Every city has surprised us, and we're sure Jharkhand will too. There are musicians here with original stories, unique sounds and immense potential. If Havells mYOUsic can become the platform that gives even a few of them the confidence and opportunity to take that next step, we've done something meaningful."

For years, Havells has focused on empowering people by energizing homes, businesses, and communities. With Havells mYOUsic, the brand is translating that same philosophy into the cultural sphere, championing the next generation of independent musicians across India.

As this movement expands across the nation, Havells mYOUsic is establishing a space where emerging artistes can find discovery, mentorship, and the connections necessary to foster their professional growth.

"Havells mYOUsic began with a simple belief that talent should never be limited by a lack of opportunity. With every new city, that belief reaches more artistes and strengthens India's independent music community."
