Galgotias University and Milano-Bicocca Join Forces for Global Research

Galgotias University Expands European Footprint Through Partnership with Italy’s University of Milano-Bicocca. A new five-year pact aims to boost student mobility and collaborative research, adding to existing international ties in Japan, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, and Thailand. Greater Noida, 29/09/2026: Extending its global reach into Europe, Galgotias University has finalized a five-year cooperation deal with the University of Milano-Bicocca in Italy, designed to foster academic exchange, joint research, and scientific cooperation. This alliance bolsters the university’s expanding international network, creating a structured pathway for students and faculty to integrate more deeply with the European academic landscape.

The accord was formalized by Professor Giuseppe Gorini, Vice Rector for International Development and Academic Cooperation at the University of Milano-Bicocca, and Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, Chief Executive Officer of Galgotias University. Prof. Giuseppe Gorini and Dr. Dhruv Galgotia sign a five-year pact between University of Milano-Bicocca and Galgotias University to advance academic and research cooperation.

Through this arrangement, both institutions will facilitate the exchange of undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral students, as well as faculty, researchers, visiting scholars, and staff. Collaborative efforts will span joint research initiatives, scientific publishing, conferences, workshops, summer schools, and training programs. Additionally, the agreement establishes protocols for the supervision and co-supervision of undergraduate, master’s and doctoral theses, adhering to the respective policies of each university.

This Italian collaboration arrives on the heels of several other international initiatives. In Japan, Galgotias University formalized an MoU with the Yamanashi Prefectural Government and a Letter of Intent with the University of Yamanashi, aimed at fostering talent mobility and clean-energy research, following a visit from a 200-member delegation headed by Governor Kotaro Nagasaki in August 2026. Regarding Vietnam, the university’s partnerships include Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) and the Saigon Hi-Tech Park ecosystem, linking education, research, and semiconductor projects. These efforts build upon an existing MoU with Girton College, University of Cambridge, alongside a recent Letter of Intent with Krirk University, Thailand, focused on exploring education, research, student mobility and faculty development.

A key focus of the Milano-Bicocca agreement is practical implementation. Appointed representatives from both institutions will collaborate to draft and regularly assess an annual action plan, pinpoint funding avenues, and track progress. Individual projects will be formalized through subsequent written agreements, contingent upon institutional authorization and the availability of necessary financial resources.
