Galgotias University Forges Strategic Academic Alliance with Thailand's Krirk University

Galgotias University is broadening its global academic footprint by formalizing a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Thailand’s Krirk University. This partnership aims to foster cooperation in research, education, and student exchange, further cementing academic links between India and Thailand. Greater Noida, 25 September 2026: Galgotias University has officially entered into an LOI with Krirk University, based in Thailand, to pursue collaborative opportunities in research, faculty development, and student mobility. This move adds to the university's growing network of international partnerships spanning the United Kingdom, France, Vietnam, and Japan.

Prof. Dr. Jaran Maluleem, Vice President for International Affairs, Krirk University, signed the LOI on behalf of the Bangkok-based institution. Both universities are set to investigate potential joint academic programmes, curriculum design, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. The scope of research cooperation includes collaborative publications, shared facility access, and joint projects. Furthermore, the institutions have identified faculty training, student exchange, credit transfer, women’s leadership development, and entrepreneurship as key pillars for their future collaboration.

This Thai partnership follows a series of major international milestones for Galgotias University, particularly in Japan. Recently, the university welcomed a 200-member delegation from Yamanashi Prefecture, headed by Governor Kotaro Nagasaki. This visit resulted in an MoU with the Yamanashi Prefectural Government and an LOI with the University of Yamanashi, laying the groundwork for cooperation in clean-energy research and talent mobility. The discussions covered various topics, including workforce development, healthcare education, researcher and student exchanges, and green hydrogen.

In Vietnam, Galgotias University has deepened its ties with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH). The collaboration with UEF emphasizes mutual goals in applied research, innovation, and faculty development. Meanwhile, the MoU with HUTECH establishes a framework for stronger industry connections, joint research, and faculty and student exchanges.

Regarding its French partnerships, the university collaborates with YNOV Campus to provide international study pathways through Indo–French dual-campus master’s programmes in Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Computer Science. These programmes are designed with a split structure—one year at Galgotias University in India followed by one year at YNOV Campus in France—effectively bridging specialised technical training with global academic exposure.

The university’s global outreach also includes a partnership with Girton College, a constituent college of the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Through an MoU between Galgotias University and Girton College, 16 Galgotias students were selected for a two-week summer programme in 2026, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Entrepreneurship, with their participation fully sponsored by Galgotias University. This initiative highlights how institutional alliances can create tangible, supported international learning opportunities for the student body.
