Kochi Marathon 2027: A star-studded launch honors a sporting legend

The fifth iteration of the Federal Bank Kochi Marathon has been officially unveiled, with the race set for February 14, 2027, and a special tribute paid to Asian Games silver medallist Vidarsha K. Vinod. KOCHI — The Marriott Hotel in Kochi served as the venue for the official launch ceremony of the fifth Federal Bank Kochi Marathon. Kerala High Court Justice Devan Ramachandran and Kochi Corporation Mayor Adv. V.K. Minimol presided over the inauguration. Organized in partnership with the Kochi Corporation and under the guidance of the Athletics Federation of India, the upcoming event will be held under the banner "Move with Purpose."

To celebrate this landmark success, marathon organisers CleoSportz awarded her a cash prize of ₹51,000. Federal Bank Zonal Head and Senior Vice President C.M. Sasidharan presented the cheque, joined by CleoSportz Directors Anish Paul, Byju Paul, Sabari R. Nair, and M.R.K. Jayaram. Justice Devan Ramachandran and Mayor Adv. V.K. Minimol also extended their congratulations, with the CleoSportz team noting that Vidarsha’s accomplishments perfectly reflect the marathon's central theme.
