Explurger’s NiVU is scaling its footprint across India, bringing AI-driven travel assistance from Andhra Pradesh to Goa and Delhi. Artificial intelligence is evolving past the initial planning phase and becoming an active participant in the travel experience. Explurger is driving this transition nationwide with NiVU, its AI-powered travel companion, which is now active in Andhra Pradesh, Goa, and Delhi to offer tourists a more interactive, context-aware, and connected way to explore new locations.

For Jitin Bhatia, Founder & CEO of Explurger, the goal is to leverage technology to augment the human travel experience rather than replace it. He envisions making trips more personalised and informed by providing travellers with pertinent details at the precise moment and location they require them.

NiVU realises this vision through QR-enabled AI signage placed at various tourist spots. The initiative launched in Andhra Pradesh, where Explurger collaborated with Andhra Pradesh Tourism to support the state’s move toward a tech-centric tourism model. By scanning a NiVU QR code at these sites, visitors can engage with an AI-powered travel companion to access historical background, local narratives, navigation assistance, recommendations, and other essential travel insights.

Featuring multilingual support, NiVU aims to make destination details available to travellers from both India and abroad. Whether at heritage sites, temples, museums, local markets, or islands, the deployment in Andhra Pradesh illustrates how AI can overlay a digital dimension onto physical travel.

The rollout continued in Goa, introducing NiVU to a region defined by its beaches, churches, forts, heritage sites, and unique local culture. At these locations, AI-enabled boards assist visitors in orienting themselves, uncovering local history, and finding activities that go beyond the standard tourist hotspots.

This strategy marks a change in how the tourism sector utilises AI. Rather than limiting technology to online searches or pre-trip planning, it integrates the tool directly into the destination, making it accessible to travellers while they are on the ground.

Explurger recently presented its tech-focused vision for the future of tourism at the 41st IATO Annual Convention, which took place from September 10–13, 2026, at Novotel Visakhapatnam, themed "India: The World’s Next Tourism Opportunity." The team participated in conversations regarding how AI and new technologies are evolving the travel ecosystem, opening doors for more seamless, personalised, and connected journeys. Jitin Bhatia, Founder & CEO of Explurger, delivered a talk titled "The Future Tour Operator — AI & Technology," where he emphasised how real-time data and AI are redefining the responsibilities of tour operators, shifting their focus from basic trip planning to providing intelligent, personalised, and fluid travel experiences.

Given the capital's wide array of museums, historic monuments, food districts, markets, and local neighbourhoods, it provides a varied setting for AI-assisted exploration.
