D4 Commerce Reveals: How Indian Brands Conquer Global E-commerce!
From India to the World: D4 Commerce Rallies Over 100 Founders to Crack the Code on International E-commerce. Mumbai, 25 August 2026: D4 Commerce (D4C), the Mumbai-based global e-commerce accelerator focused on helping Indian founders build and scale brands internationally, recently hosted its fifth Global Ecom Meetup in Mumbai. The day-long event brought together more than 100 entrepreneurs, business owners, and industry professionals, along with aspiring sellers, for a series of sessions led by Rishiraj Kalra, Founder & CEO of D4 Commerce, alongside Riya Arage, Co-Founder Atlasia Global, Parshwa Mehta, Inside Sales Representative at Doola, Chiranjivi Kothekar, Co-Founder Bloody Marketers, Tanvi Sharma, Senior Associate Marketing at ShipGlobal, Manan Tibra, Founder Tibra International and Shreyansha Singh, Lead Designer at D4 Commerce. The discussions covered the entire lifecycle of building global D2C brands, ranging from US business incorporation, taxation, and compliance to international logistics, Meta and Google advertising, customer acquisition, branding, and sustainable growth.
With a growing number of Indian entrepreneurs looking beyond the domestic market, D4 Commerce is establishing the necessary ecosystem to support them, helping founders take Indian-owned brands and intellectual property (IP) directly to consumers in major global markets, including the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, the broader European region, the UAE, KSA and Australia. This trend is occurring alongside a wider shift in how Indians approach work and income, with Randstad’s Workmonitor 2026 reporting that 58% of Indian employees are managing a second job alongside their primary employment.
Established by Rishiraj Kalra, who brings over 12 years of global e-commerce expertise to the venture, D4C assists founders in creating private-label businesses, guiding them through every phase of the process: product research, sourcing, business setup, compliance, branding, market activation, and scaling. What began as a consulting practice has transformed into a full-stack accelerator, combining strategic advice with hands-on execution and, increasingly, equity participation in the businesses it supports. Utilizing a proprietary 21-point framework, the company has trained more than 12,000 aspiring entrepreneurs, facilitated the launch of over 14 brands in the last 14 months, and generated more than $10 million in revenue across its portfolio. The D4C model is rooted in the personal founder journey of Rishiraj Kalra. After completing his Computer Science degree at BITS Pilani Dubai, he returned to India to continue an e-commerce career that began during his student years. His early work with Amazon Global Selling provided him with direct insight into the potential of building for international markets. He launched his first private-label venture—a magnetic-blocks toy business—with a liquid investment of roughly ₹2.7 lakh in 2017, scaling it to several crores in revenue within 20 months. This success served as the proof of concept for the private-label playbook D4C now teaches. This focus on tangible outcomes has shaped the portfolio of brands built within the D4C ecosystem, including Solvio, a premium home and bath label; TruSatva, positioned as the US's first Ayurvedic sleep supplement; and Jilee Joy, a modern kids' oral-care brand, each developed using the company’s proprietary, data-driven framework to evaluate market potential and mitigate risk before capital is deployed. "The opportunity for Indian founders to build global brands has never been greater, but entering a market like the US is far more complex than simply putting a product online," said Rishiraj Kalra, Founder & CEO, D4 Commerce. "Product selection, unit economics, compliance, logistics, positioning, strategy and customer acquisition all have to come together. Through D4 Commerce, our focus is on helping founders make sharper decisions and de-risk that journey. The Global Ecom Meetup by D4 Commerce is created to bring that learning into one room through real businesses, seasoned practitioners and the kind of conversations that show entrepreneurs what building a global business actually demands." Designed as a conversation-led event rather than a traditional seminar, the meetup featured full-day sessions helmed by Kalra, alongside discussions and extensive Q&A segments that provided participants with direct access to the expert speakers. The event was supported by Atlasia Global, a cross-border financial services firm that assists founders with incorporation, tax compliance, and bookkeeping across the US and Australia, and ShipGlobal.in, a cross-border shipping and logistics platform for Indian exporters and Amazon sellers, which was recently recognized by Amazon India Global Selling for Export Service Provider Excellence. Their participation provided a comprehensive view of the capabilities required for founders to incorporate, comply, and ship across international markets. Since its launch earlier this year, the Global Ecom Meetup series by D4 Commerce has established itself as an offline platform where entrepreneurs, business owners, and experienced professionals can engage directly with real-world e-commerce case studies, practitioners, and businesses operating in global markets. Across every edition, the format has remained committed to its core philosophy: prioritizing practical insights over theory and direct access over passive learning. In addition to its consulting and accelerator services, D4 Commerce operates Basecamp, its e-commerce foundation program, which has surpassed 8,000 registrations since its April 2025 launch. Through Kalra's creator platform, INDIAMAAN, D4C engages a community of over 200,000 people on YouTube and Instagram with educational content focused on building and operating global e-commerce businesses. The company has also introduced Co-Found with D4C, an equity-based model through which it takes a stake in select ventures and acts as their back-end execution partner, with an initial goal to build an equity portfolio of approximately 50 brands over the next two years. As an increasing number of Indian founders look to expand beyond the domestic market, D4 Commerce is actively building the strategy, operational capabilities, and ecosystem required for that transition. Through its combination of consulting, education, execution, and its emerging co-founding model, the company is consistently empowering a new generation of Indian entrepreneurs to create globally competitive businesses, thereby strengthening the presence of Indian-founded brands on the international stage.
