The world is facing a shortage of those who care for it, and India has the capacity to train them. CareBridge is launching India's first global healthcare pathway programme at St. Mary's Rehabilitation University in Hyderabad. The professions currently in highest demand globally are the ones that are hardest to source: physiotherapists, nurses, occupational therapists, audiologists, radiology and laboratory technologists, and special educators. These roles appear on skilled worker registries in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, Singapore, and the Gulf, with the deficit growing every year.

India possesses the youthful workforce and English-language proficiency required to meet this demand. What has been lacking is training that aligns with the standards required by international employers. CareBridge Education Solutions has developed this training, launching it today as India's premier global healthcare pathway programme. It operates within the undergraduate degrees at St. Mary's Rehabilitation University, the nation's first and only rehabilitation university, sanctioned by the Government of Telangana under Gazette Notification No. 2 of 25.07.2025. While St. Mary's provides and confers the degrees, CareBridge manages the pathway, which includes international standards, certifications, language and licensing preparation, and career placement support from the first year through to the first job.

FOR EVERY BIPC STUDENT WHO DID NOT GET A NEET SEAT

Every year, lakhs of BiPC students across India take the NEET exam, yet only a small percentage secure an MBBS seat. The remainder are essentially told to try again or reconsider their options. Very few are told the reality: that medicine is not the only healthcare profession facing a global shortage, and that many other roles are in even higher demand internationally. A physiotherapist, an occupational therapist, a nurse, a radiology technologist, an audiologist, and a medical laboratory scientist are all licensed professionals. Each of these roles is listed on skilled worker registries abroad and is accessible to a BiPC graduate without a NEET qualification. The issue has never been a lack of opportunity; it is that these students are rarely informed of these paths, nor are they trained to the standards required to reach them. This programme is designed to bridge that gap.

Competency based, taught in advanced labs. The programmes strictly adhere to the competency-based NCAHP, INC, and RCI curricula, as applicable to each course. Instruction is delivered through advanced simulation and skills laboratories, where students are evaluated on their practical capabilities rather than just their ability to recall information. The objective is straightforward and ambitious: to cultivate the world's finest healthcare professionals, trained right here in India.

THE FOUNDERS

Srikanth Devineni, a global staffing leader and entrepreneur based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Krishna Bhargav, founder of the healthcare staffing platform SuperHR, identified the same challenge from two different perspectives within the healthcare workforce. International employers were struggling to source skilled, qualified professionals, while talented students were often graduating without the preparation necessary to compete on a global scale. They established CareBridge to resolve this disconnect, not merely by moving people across borders, but by preparing healthcare professionals to a standard that is globally recognized.

CareBridge was built on a powerful belief: global healthcare shortages cannot be solved by recruitment alone. The workforce has to be built.
