Acharya Upendra Ji: Ancient wisdom for your modern life problems.

Bridging Ancient Wisdom and Modern Living: Antar Yog Foundation Unveils the Second Edition of Acharya Upendra Ji’s Shri Ganpati Atharvasheersha Bhashya. Mumbai, 20-21 September 2026: The Bhadrapada Ganesh Special Event and Maha Chandi Homa have concluded successfully at the Antar Yog Gurukul. Held under the guidance of Brahmarshi Acharya Upendra Ji, the gathering featured the participation of 51+ revered Brahmans, alongside powerful mantra chanting, sacred Abhisheks, a divine Yadnya, and deep Sadhana.

The Antar Yog Foundation is actively working to integrate the profound insights of the Shri Ganpati Atharvasheersha into contemporary life. This effort was highlighted by the launch of the second edition of the comprehensive Shri Ganpati Atharvasheersha Bhashya, written by Brahmarshi Acharya Upendra Ji. As is tradition, the foundation hosted the Bhadrapada Ganesh Special Event at its Mumbai Gurukul, focusing on the spiritual, philosophical, and practical applications of the text, moving beyond mere ritualistic recitation.

Acharya Upendra Ji's wisdom for modern life problems.

The event was attended by 51+ revered Brahmans and numerous seekers, who witnessed the unveiling of this significant second edition. This Mahagranth offers a detailed exposition of the Atharvasheersha mantras, exploring their spiritual depth and philosophical foundations.

Rather than offering only literal translations, the text illustrates how these mantras relate to the mind, intellect, behavior, relationships, prosperity, health, spirituality, and personal awakening.

A key aspect of this commentary is the use of relatable, everyday examples to explain complex spiritual concepts. This makes the wisdom accessible even to those without a background in Sanskrit. The book is designed for a wide audience: from those who recite the Atharvasheersha to young people seeking life direction, entrepreneurs aiming for business growth, families looking for harmony, parents concerned about their children's future, and retirees searching for a new sense of purpose.

The Mahagranth situates the Shri Ganpati Atharvasheersha within the broader Indian classical knowledge tradition, drawing parallels to the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Ganesh Gita, Dnyaneshwari and other sources of the Indian classical knowledge tradition. During the event, Brahmarshi Acharya Upendra Ji led a specialized session titled "Shri Ganpati Atharvasheersha and its Practical Application in Daily Life." Attendees gained rare insights into how engaging with Indian spiritual texts can enhance self-reflection, personal values, conduct, and Sadhana.

Guidance on Goddess Saraswati and Saraswati Sadhana

The event also provided specific instruction regarding the traditional knowledge surrounding Goddess Saraswati and Saraswati Sadhana. Brahmarshi Acharya Upendra Ji offered a clear explanation of the significance of worshipping the Goddess, the relevant mantras, and traditional Sadhana methods. By referencing the Devi Bhagwat Mahapuran, he introduced seekers to the various spiritual dimensions of Saraswati Sadhana. For students and those dedicated to learning and discernment, this segment was a vital component of the programme.

Under the guidance of Brahmarshi Acharya Upendra Ji and in the presence of 51+ revered Brahmans, the following rituals and service activities were conducted as part of the special programme:

  • Shri Ganpati Atharvasheersha Sahasravartan
  • Devi Sukta Mantra Chanting
  • Shri Ganesh and Goddess Saraswati Abhishek
  • Collective mantra chanting dedicated to Lord Ganesh, Goddess Saraswati, Goddess Durga, Maha Lakshmi, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva
  • Yadnya with the mantras of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Saraswati
  • Brahman Seva and Daan

Brahmarshi Acharya Upendra Ji also opened the Antar Yog Gurukul to the public for a portion of the afternoon, allowing attendees to participate directly. During this time, seekers joined in the Atharvasheersha Sahasravartan, Abhishek, collective mantra chanting, Guru Seva and Brahman Seva. The session concluded with a Maha Aarti.

Acharya Upendra Ji’s Message on Awakening Knowledge and Nation-Building

During the event, Brahmarshi Acharya Upendra Ji spoke on the spiritual significance of Lord Ganesha and the enduring value of India’s knowledge traditions.

He said:

"Lord Ganesha is not merely a deity of the Hindu religion. He represents higher knowledge and the power within human beings to awaken that knowledge, namely the power of discernment. When India recognises this truth and collectively adopts the right Sadhana and conduct to awaken the inherent power of discernment in every individual, only then can it move forward towards becoming a Vishwa Guru."

This perspective highlights Acharya Ji’s commitment to linking Indian knowledge traditions with individual growth and viewing the awakening of wisdom as a vital national and social endeavor.

Maha Chandi Homa

The Bhadrapada Ganesh Special Event served as the opening phase of the two-day spiritual gathering at Antar Yog Gurukul on 20 and 21 September 2026. The second phase, the Maha Chandi Homa on 21 September 2026, centered on the Sadhana of Maha Lakshmi, Maha Saraswati and Maha Kali, accompanied by an insightful knowledge session from Brahmarshi Acharya Upendra Ji.

The day featured a Yadnya utilizing powerful Beej Mantras according to scriptural protocols, alongside a rare Sadhana. Children, students and parents were encouraged to participate in this unique event.

Prayers were offered to Goddess Saraswati to support both material and spiritual progress, with the aim of reviving the light of the Gurukul tradition and Vedantic knowledge across Bharat. Saraswati Sadhana is recognized for its ability to improve memory, concentration, creativity, and artistic skills.

Additionally, prayers were directed to Maha Lakshmi to support individual prosperity and contribute to Bharat’s economic strength, while Maha Kali was invoked to dispel negativity and foster inner strength.

The event also featured a session of devotional music, creating an atmosphere of joy and spiritual bliss. The programme ended with a Maha Aarti, leaving seekers with a sense of peace and gratitude for the Guru Kripa they experienced.
