Non-Oil Exports From Saudi Arabia Increase By 30.4% In July 2025 According To GASTAT
In July 2025, Saudi Arabia saw a notable rise in non-oil exports, including re-exports, with a 30.4% increase compared to the same month in 2024. The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) reported this growth in its International Trade bulletin. The proportion of non-oil exports to imports also climbed, reaching 44.6% from 33.4% the previous year.
Machinery, electrical equipment, and parts were significant contributors to non-oil exports, making up 29.7% of the total. Chemical products followed closely, accounting for 19.6%. On the import side, machinery and electrical equipment comprised 11.7% of total imports, marking a 29.9% increase from July 2024.

Transportation equipment and parts made up 13.2% of total imports but experienced a decline of 9.6% compared to the previous year. Despite these shifts, oil exports as a percentage of total exports fell from 72.8% in July 2024 to 67.1% in July 2025.
The trade balance surplus improved significantly by 53.4% compared to July 2024 figures. China remained Saudi Arabia's top trading partner for merchandise trade in July 2025, with exports to China comprising 14.0% of total exports and imports from China making up 25.8% of total imports.
The United Arab Emirates was next, accounting for 10.6% of total exports and contributing to 6.4% of imports into Saudi Arabia. India was another key partner, receiving 9.4% of Saudi Arabia's total exports during this period.
Port Activity and Data Sources
King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam played a crucial role in facilitating trade, handling 26.1% of all imports in July 2025. Jeddah Islamic Port followed closely behind with a share of 20.9%. These ports are vital entry points for goods entering the Kingdom.
The International Trade statistics are derived from administrative records maintained by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority for non-oil data and the Ministry of Energy for oil-related data.
Saudi Arabia's export and import activities are classified under the Harmonized System (HS), which is overseen by the World Customs Organization.
