Muslim Council Of Elders Lauded For Fostering Tolerance And Peace At Book Fair
The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, recently hosted Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman El-Duwaini, Deputy of Al-Azhar, and Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz Al-Haddad, Member of the Muslim Council of Elders and UAE Council for Fatwa, and Senior Mufti of the Fatwa Department in Dubai. Their visit took place at the Council's pavilion during the International Istanbul Arabic Book Fair.
During their visit, Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman El-Duwaini and Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz Al-Haddad examined the activities and events organised by the Council's pavilion. They praised the efforts of the Muslim Council of Elders under His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, for promoting tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and respect for others.

The Secretary-General highlighted that these international book fairs serve as platforms for intellectual and cultural exchange between different cultures. They help raise awareness about human principles and values among nations and peoples.
Both visitors emphasised the significant role played by "Al-Hokama Publishing." Through its publications, it enriches Islamic and Arabic libraries with valuable knowledge. It offers new perspectives on modern intellectual issues, corrects misconceptions, and presents enlightened thought.
The Secretary-General reiterated that the Council is dedicated to participating meaningfully in various international book fairs. This aligns with its mission to promote peace, uphold dialogue and tolerance values, and build cooperation bridges among people of different races and beliefs.
International Istanbul Arabic Book Fair
This year marks the third consecutive participation of the Muslim Council of Elders at the International Istanbul Arabic Book Fair. The fair is notable for being the largest international Arabic book fair held outside the Arab world. It aims to revive the Arabic language in Türkiye and strengthen bonds between Arabs and Turks.
The event attracts not only the Arab community residing in Türkiye but also many Turkish citizens interested in learning about the Arabic language and its sciences.
