UAE Hosts Holy Quran Conference To Bridge Science And Civilization
The recently concluded "Holy Quran Conference and the Frontiers of Science: United Arab Emirates Efforts in its Service" has made significant strides in highlighting the civilisational role of the Holy Quran in addressing modern challenges and promoting sustainable development. The event, which took place on the 24th and 25th of March, was under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. It brought to light the UAE's innovative approach to integrating modern technology with Quranic scholarship for worldwide benefit.
One of the pivotal outcomes of this conference was the issuance of a final statement that not only underscores the importance of the Holy Quran in solving contemporary issues but also encourages scholars and academics to delve into the interconnections between the Quran and various scientific and philosophical disciplines. This initiative aims to foster societal progress and prosperity by opening new pathways for exploration.

The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, which organized this event, has announced a significant addition to its Holy Quran Award. Starting from its 14th edition this summer, a new research branch dedicated to exploring the relationship between the Quran and cosmic sciences will be introduced. This move is expected to further enrich the discourse on the intersection of faith and science.
The conference not only served as a platform for presenting the UAE's leading role in employing advanced technology for the service of the Quran but also facilitated discussions among an elite group of specialists. Among the attendees were guest scholars invited by the UAE President, all contributing to a rich exchange of ideas aimed at advancing global understanding and application of Islamic teachings in contemporary contexts.
This gathering has set a clear roadmap for future initiatives both locally and globally, aiming to deepen awareness and application of Islamic teachings in addressing today's challenges. The emphasis on sustainable development, coupled with the encouragement for interdisciplinary research, marks a significant step towards integrating traditional wisdom with modern scientific inquiry.
