Xposure International Festival 2025 In Sharjah: Dates, Highlights, And Exhibitions

The Xposure International Festival 2025 is set to return for its ninth edition, turning Aljada, Sharjah into a hub of visual storytelling from 20–26 February 2025. Organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), this year's festival will showcase an extensive range of curated exhibitions and photographic works across ten genres, valued at over AED12 million.

Photography enthusiasts and collectors will have the chance to purchase fine photographic prints at Xposure 2025. The collection ranges in price from AED3,100 to AED890,000, offering something for everyone, from novice buyers to seasoned art investors. The festival highlights the diversity of visual artistry on display.

Xposure 2025 will feature a variety of photography genres. These include Documentary and Photojournalism, Fine Art and Creative Expression, as well as Nature and Wildlife Photography. Attendees can explore images capturing rare landscapes and endangered species or be transported worldwide through Travel and Adventure Photography.

The festival will also highlight Portraiture and Cultural Photography, showcasing powerful human stories. Urban and Street Life Photography will capture vibrant cityscapes. Additionally, Sports and Action photography fans can enjoy dynamic images, while Night and Low-Light Photography will offer evocative visual experiences.

Among the notable photographers exhibiting at Xposure 2025 is Sebastian Copeland. An award-winning photographer and environmental activist, he presents "The Vanishing," focusing on climate change. One of his famous prints is priced near AED900,000. Søren Solkær will showcase "Black Sun," with prints available for around AED550,000.

Andrea Belluso, a legendary fashion and beauty photographer, explores sustainability in his exhibition "Arts for Future." His prints are priced at AED627,100. These exhibitions ensure that anyone with an appreciation for photography can own unique artworks that are expertly framed on site.

Xposure 2025 will not only feature solo exhibitions but also renowned group showcases. These include winners of the Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest and "The Road to Xposure" by the Union of Arab Photographers. The event also includes "Sharjah Women" by Sharjah Women’s Sports.

The festival honours excellence through exhibitions featuring entrants for the Global Focus Project (GFP). This project includes selected male and female photographers from six continents. Additionally, the Independent Freelance Photojournalist Award (IFPA) highlights contemporary news-making photography.
