Warner Bros. World Yas Island Sets Guinness World Record For Longest Cheese Board
Warner Bros. Discovery, in collaboration with Fatafeat, Discovery's premier Arabic food network, has recently set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORD™ for the Longest Cheese Board/Platter at Warner Bros. World™ Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. This event, part of the celebrations for Tom and Jerry's 85th anniversary, witnessed the assembly of a cheese board stretching 30 meters and weighing approximately 345 kilograms.
This board, primarily composed of various cheeses, also featured fruits, crackers, and breads to complement the cheese selection. Furthermore, the food from this event was generously donated to Grace Conservation (Hifz Al Naema), benefiting numerous families.

Don Strickler, General Manager at Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi, stated, "We are incredibly proud to have partnered with Fatafeat to achieve this GUINNESS WORLD RECORD™ title as it is a truly momentous occasion to celebrate the enduring appeal of Tom and Jerry's 85th anniversary. This partnership perfectly embodies our commitment to bringing beloved stories to life through unique and engaging experiences for families at Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi".
Adding to the festivities, Warner Bros. Discovery announced the premiere of "Tom and Jerry's Big Cheese Adventure," a five-episode Fatafeat series. Scheduled to air on June 04, 2025, at 13.30 PM KSA time, the series will document the entire process behind the record-setting event. It promises to blend thrilling park challenges with recipes inspired by the classic Tom and Jerry series, appealing to both new and nostalgic fans.
Fans of the mischievous duo have more to look forward to, as the Tom and Jerry stunt will air daily on Cartoonito from June 2 to 15 at 09:30. This special airing aims to inject mornings with an extra dose of humor and antics. Moreover, the Cartoonito MENA YouTube channel is set to celebrate Tom and Jerry Cheese Day with unique cheese-themed content and cooking episodes inspired by Fatafeat, reinvented under the Cartoon Network Menu series.
The creation of the record-breaking cheese platter was a team effort led by eight Fatafeat chefs and one host. Over four hours, these culinary experts, alongside Chef Firas Kazma who provided lively commentary and behind-the-scenes insights, worked diligently to assemble the cheese board. The participating chefs, including Chef Sumaya Obaid, Chef Marwan Sardouk, and others, demonstrated exceptional creativity and teamwork, captivating food enthusiasts and families present at the event.
Grigory Lavrov, VP of Marketing, Local Brands & Franchise Management, CEE & MENAT, remarked, "Tom and Jerry is one of the most beloved franchises in the Middle East and for us in Fatafeat it was a true honour to be a part of its 85th anniversary celebration. We were excited to bring together Fatafeat chefs and leave our mark in the history by breaking a Guiness World Records™ title.
This initiative proves once again that great stories and great characters live and thrive for decades; for us in WBD it's imperative to find new approaches to the popular IP and keep it fresh while strengthening the connection with viewers and fans. I believe we also managed to find a unique angle to the project blending global and local in a way only WBD can do. I would also like to express an enormous gratitude to our partners in Warner Bros World Abu-Dhabi who embarked on this journey with us and were supportive all along the way."
