Trosmic Sports Announces Flux Halo: A Landmark Indoor Stadium For The GCC
Trosmic Sports has unveiled plans for a revolutionary indoor stadium named Flux Halo, backed by a significant investment of $1 billion from Japanese equity. This ambitious project aims to establish a new benchmark for live entertainment and sporting events within the GCC, showcasing unparalleled technological advancements and cultural significance on a global scale.
The proposed stadium, expected to open its doors in mid-2030, is set to host a wide array of events. These range from football and basketball games to concerts, esports competitions, and large conventions. Designed to hold up to 20,000 spectators, Flux Halo will feature a vast, column-free space of 200,000 m² and a retractable roof spanning 75,000 m², ensuring events can proceed under any weather conditions.

"At the heart of Trosmic Sports and Flux Halo lies a daring belief: that sport is our universal language, and this arena will be its most eloquent expression," revealed Bhardwaj, Mentor and Conceptual Founder of Trosmic Sports. He added, "Here, every spotlight will illuminate not just athletic prowess, but the enduring human quest to push beyond the known."
The search for Flux Halo's location is ongoing, with the goal of positioning it as a leading venue that could rival the likes of London's O2 Arena and New York's Madison Square Garden. This move aligns with the GCC's broader strategy to diversify its economy by investing in tourism, culture, and entertainment infrastructure.
Kotetsu Yamamoto, the project's Chief Creative Director, highlighted the stadium's architectural inspiration, stating, "Flux Halo was never meant to be just a stadium. It's a visual statement and a modular system that adapts to the evolving culture around it."
The design draws from the crown of Athena, symbolising wisdom, war, and the protection of athletes, which is reflected in its Möbius-inspired ribbon form, embodying perpetual motion.
Trosmic Sports emphasises the stadium's eco-friendly features, including solar-powered LEDs, AI-driven climate control, and rainwater recycling, aiming for net-zero energy consumption. These initiatives place Flux Halo among the few indoor arenas worldwide to pursue such environmental sustainability benchmarks.
The announcement has sparked interest across the GCC, a region keen on establishing itself as a global entertainment and cultural hub. With ambitious projects like Qatar's World Cup venues, Abu Dhabi's Louvre, and Saudi Arabia's cultural events, Flux Halo's innovative design and technological advancements set it apart.
Chairman of Trosmic Sports, Vaibhav Sharma, expressed the project's significance, stating, "This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to help shape the next great venue of our time. Flux Halo isn't just about entertainment; it's about regional pride, innovation, and creating something that leaves a legacy."
The project's financial strategy is also designed for success, with diversified revenue streams expected to attract both regional and international investors. "With an anticipated 10 million visitors annually, Flux Halo is engineered for both cultural impact and commercial success," said Ekta Nirmalkar, a board director at Trosmic.
To further develop and finalize the design, a Japanese delegation led by Yamamoto and George Kunihiro, Director of Architecture & Planning, will visit the UAE for meetings and site explorations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh. This initiative underscores the project's global collaboration and strategic planning, aiming to create a venue that is not only a marvel of modern architecture but also a catalyst for sustainable and economic growth in the GCC.
A regional consultant on sports infrastructure noted the project's unique combination of sustainability and versatility, suggesting that Flux Halo could significantly alter the landscape of live events in the Middle East. As plans for Flux Halo progress, its vision of merging innovation, cultural significance, and environmental sustainability signals a new chapter for the GCC, positioning it as a leader in the global entertainment industry.
