Media Hub: Sharjah Media City Awards Contract To STUDIOI For Shams Studios Design Project

Sharjah Media City (Shams) has chosen STUDIOI to design the Shams Studios project. This decision is a key step in boosting Sharjah's media and film production infrastructure. The initiative aligns with His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi's vision to make Sharjah a top regional and global media hub.

The Shams Studios project aims to support creative industries by providing a comprehensive media production environment. It will feature advanced studios tailored for film and media companies, attracting major industry players. The complex will include five modern studios, each covering 1,710 square metres, totalling 38,136 square metres.

These studios will cater to various production needs, including film and media projects. The facility will also offer integrated post-production amenities like editing suites, visual effects technologies, and sound processing rooms for a world-class production experience. Collaborative workspaces and office areas for production companies are also planned.

The complex will include modern meeting rooms and a hotel building with exclusive suites for actors and production teams. These accommodations ensure privacy and comfort while fostering creativity through recreational facilities. This strategic development enhances Sharjah's capacity to host major media productions efficiently.

The construction contract is expected to be awarded by the fourth quarter of 2025. A clear timeline outlines the project's construction and equipping phases. Rashid Abdullah Al Obad, Director of Sharjah Media City, remarked on the announcement: "The Shams Studios project reflects our unwavering commitment to developing a cutting-edge infrastructure that aligns with the latest global advancements in media and production."
