Eid Al-Fitr In Saudi Arabia: All The Events And Concerts Happening In The City

Saudi Arabia is set to mark the Eid al-Fitr holiday with an extensive lineup of events that promise to entertain and dazzle citizens and visitors alike. From April 9, public and private sector employees will enjoy a five-day holiday, celebrating the conclusion of Ramadan, which commenced on March 11. The General Entertainment Authority has announced a diverse array of activities scheduled to take place across the Kingdom, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, and many other cities. The festivities will feature at least eight concerts spanning the nation, alongside a variety of other engaging experiences.

Wednesday, 10 April

Almoftahah Heritage Village in Abha City will come alive with music and light shows from April 10 to 14, while an "Eid Basata" event promises puppet shows, music, and laser displays in Abha's Town Square.

Thursday, 11 April

Saudi-Iraqi singer Majid al-Muhandis is set to perform at the Hilton hotel in Jeddah alongside a band led by Madhat Khamees.

Friday, 12 April

Saudi musicians Abadi al-Johar, Zena Emaad, and Abdulla al-Mestrih will perform at the Princess Nourah University theater in Riyadh on April 12. Rabeh Sager and other prominent Saudi artists will grace the stage at the Dhahran Expo Center in Dammam, providing a musical treat for attendees. The cultural offerings continue with a 'Tribute to Coldplay' candlelit performance by pianist Ivanna Burkatska at the Crowne Plaza Riyadh Palace and theatrical performances such as 'The Red Box' and 'The Wedding of the Jinn', adding a dramatic flair to the holiday.

Saturday, 13 April

The Miami Band gears up for performances at Qassim University's Sports Hall and AlUla’s Maraya on April 12. Meanwhile, Egyptian vocalist Mai Farouk and Saudi artist Nawaf al-Jabarti are set to enchant audiences at Yanbu's Roman Theater. Catch 'The Red Box' (Al-Sandooq al Ahmar) will showcase a theatrical production at Jeddah's Batterjee Medical College Theater from April 13-17.

Sunday, 14 April

Egyptian artist Tamer Ashour will grace Durat al-Arus in Jeddah with a performance. 'The Wedding of the Jinn’ (Ors al-Jen), a horror-comedy play, is scheduled to run from April 14-18. Riyadh’s BLVD City to host 'The Neighbor’ (Al-Jar) theatrical show from April 14-17.

BLVD City in Riyadh, BLVD World in Riyadh, VIA Riyadh, and the Jeddah Promenade, among others, will host folk shows, concerts, performances, and interactive activities, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Daily firework displays at 9 p.m. across various cities, including Riyadh, Jeddah, and Khobar, are set to illuminate the night sky, adding a spark to the celebrations.
