Rotana Launches First Hotel In Madinah, Al Manakha Rotana
Rotana, hotel management company in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Türkiye (MENAT), has announced the launch of Al Manakha Rotana in Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This marks Rotana's tenth property in the Kingdom, highlighting its ongoing commitment to the Saudi market and its role in supporting religious tourism, a vital component of the country's economic growth strategy.
Al Manakha Rotana is strategically placed in the heart of Madinah, offering easy access to the Prophet's Mosque, Islam's second holiest shrine. This location positions the hotel as an ideal choice for the millions of pilgrims visiting the holy city annually, as well as for travelers seeking a unique cultural experience.

Philip Barnes, CEO of Rotana, expressed his enthusiasm about the new opening, emphasizing the importance of religious tourism to Saudi Arabia's economy and Rotana's commitment to enhancing the hospitality landscape in the region.
The four-star Al Manakha Rotana is not only a testament to luxury and comfort but also seamlessly integrates into the cultural and spiritual fabric of Madinah. It is surrounded by vibrant shops, cafes, and iconic historical sites, providing guests with a rich cultural experience.
The hotel boasts 512 rooms and suites, each designed with modern fittings and furnishings. Many rooms offer views of the Prophet's Mosque, adding an element of serenity to the guest experience. A fully equipped gym on the 12th floor, with separate timings for male and female guests, ensures all visitors can maintain their fitness routines while enjoying panoramic views of the city.
Diverse Culinary Experiences
Al Manakha Rotana features four dining venues, including two all-day dining restaurants offering a wide selection of local and international dishes. A lobby café and a rooftop terrace provide relaxed settings for guests to enjoy a variety of international cuisine while overlooking the cityscape.
Future Expansion Plans
Aligned with Rotana's ambitious expansion goals, the opening of Al Manakha Rotana is part of a larger initiative to launch eight properties in KSA over the next four years. This will increase Rotana's total key count in the Kingdom to over 4,400 across 18 properties by 2028. Upcoming projects include four Edge by Rotana and one Rayhaan by Rotana in Riyadh, alongside three properties in Al Baha.
Currently, Rotana's portfolio spans 20,088 keys across six unique brands, with a significant presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, boasting 2,828 keys across ten hotels. This expansion underscores Rotana's commitment to contributing to the growth of the hospitality sector in the region and supporting Saudi Arabia's vision to become a leading destination for religious tourism.
