Under The Patronage Of Her Highness Fatima Bint Mubarak, PureHealth Launches Emirati Women Chapter
Under the auspices of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the esteemed Mother of the Nation and Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), an event marking the launch of the Emirati Women Chapter (EWC) was held at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi. This initiative, a collaborative effort between PureHealth and the GWU, commenced with the onboarding of 28 Emirati women. The mentorship programme is aimed at propelling Emirati women towards significant personal and professional development.
The inauguration of EWC is a significant step in PureHealth's endeavour to support the progress of Emirati women across various sectors. This initiative aligns with the organization's commitment to enhancing Emiratisation and fostering a more inclusive society. EWC provides a platform for Emirati women from diverse industries to collaborate with mentors, aiming to achieve profound personal and professional outcomes. Over a span of nine months, these women will receive guidance from specialist trainers and coaches, culminating in an opportunity for them to mentor future participants.
Noura Al Suwaidi, Secretary General of the General Women's Union, highlighted the UAE's longstanding commitment to women's empowerment, a journey spanning over five decades. She emphasized the EWC's role in furthering this tradition and its alignment with the union's vision to accentuate women's pioneering roles. Al Suwaidi expressed optimism about the selected participants becoming a new community of mentors and empowerment champions.
Shaista Asif, Group Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth, shed light on the organization's mission to fully leverage human capital and the importance of knowledge sharing in creating an inclusive society. She acknowledged the GWU's crucial support in realizing the EWC programme and extended congratulations to the inaugural group of participants.
During the event, the participants were acquainted with their roles and had the opportunity to network with each other and EWC board members. They were introduced to their mentors, who will assist them throughout the programme in achieving their set objectives. The EWC is steered by a committee of five senior figures including PureHealth's Group CEO, supported by a team of 10 external mentors comprised of specialist trainers and coaches. The mentorship programme will feature both one-to-one sessions and collaborative group sessions for sharing experiences.
The inaugural group includes individuals focused on both personal and career goals, ranging from sports and poetry to aspirations of becoming published authors and contributing to social development initiatives. The programme promises not only to help participants achieve their goals but also offers them a pathway to become certified coaches, thereby contributing to the development of future cycles. The next cycle of the EWC is scheduled to be launched at PureHealth's event in October 2024.
