NEOM Board Of Directors Launches Sindalah As A Premier Luxury Travel Destination In The Red Sea

The NEOM Board of Directors has unveiled Sindalah, a luxury island destination and the first physical showcase of NEOM. Announced by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in December 2022, Sindalah marks a significant milestone in NEOM's development. This achievement results from a two-year effort involving a workforce of 30,000 at its peak, across four local contracting partners and up to 60 subcontractors.

Located five kilometers off the NEOM coastline in northwest Saudi Arabia, Sindalah is nestled in the azure waters of the Red Sea. The island spans 840,000 square meters and serves as NEOM's gateway to the Red Sea. It is strategically positioned just 17 hours by sea from key Mediterranean destinations, providing easy access for European, Saudi, and GCC yacht owners.

Sindalah aims to welcome up to 2,400 guests daily by 2028 and create approximately 3,500 jobs. This will contribute significantly to Saudi Arabia's hospitality and tourism sectors while supporting economic diversification under Saudi Vision 2030. The island recently hosted its first wave of invited guests to experience its unique appeal.

Sindalah boasts an impressive marine ecosystem with over 1,100 fish species, including 45 unique to NEOM waters. More than 300 coral species also thrive here. NEOM prioritises sustainability and conservation in developing Sindalah, inviting guests to explore its underwater wonders while preserving its natural habitat.

The island features a state-of-the-art marina with an 86-berth capacity that promises a new sailing season thanks to its strategic location and pleasant climate year-round. The Sindalah Yacht Club serves as the marina's focal point, offering amenities for yachting guests, owners, and crew.

Entertainment and Accommodation Offerings

The Village and Promenade form the heart of Sindalah’s entertainment scene with 38 culinary offerings led by renowned chefs. Daytime eateries, late-night venues, and 36 luxury retail outlets enhance visitors' experiences. The Beach Club provides poolside lounging during the day and captivating music experiences at night.

Sindalah offers diverse accommodation options with breathtaking properties featuring 440 rooms, 88 villas, and 218 luxury serviced apartments. Information on bookings will soon be available through NEOM’s tourism channels.

The beachfront Golf Club offers an elevated golfing experience for all abilities on its world-class par-70 course spanning 6,474 yards (5,920 meters). It includes two unique nine-hole experiences with 18 teeing points.
