Get Ready To Run To The Beat: The Music Run Hits Dubai This November

World-renowned fun run series, The Music Run, is set to debut in Dubai this November. It will bring its high-energy mix of music, fitness, and entertainment to the iconic Meydan Racecourse. Scheduled for Saturday 16 November 2024, the event is part of the Dubai T100 Triathlon weekend, promising a fun-filled experience for participants of all ages and abilities.

The Music Run has captivated fitness enthusiasts and music lovers globally since its inception. Unlike typical fun runs, it features a 5km course lined with speakers playing a curated playlist, creating a vibrant atmosphere from start to finish. The event concludes with a high-energy music festival headlined by leading local DJs.

Music Run s Dubai Debut in November

The Dubai edition will be held at the iconic Meydan Racecourse, known for the renowned Dubai World Cup. This marks the first time The Music Run will be hosted in the Middle East, following successful editions in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, South Africa, Thailand and the Philippines. The event is expected to draw over 10,000 participants, including seasoned runners and casual walkers.

The inclusion of The Music Run in the Dubai T100 Triathlon weekend (15th - 17th November) ensures there is something for everyone at this prestigious event. While professional triathletes compete for a share of the $250,000 prize purse – with multiple Olympic and World Champions expected – The Music Run offers a more relaxed option for those seeking a high-energy experience rather than a competitive race.

The Dubai T100 Triathlon weekend also caters to serious age-group triathletes aiming for personal bests in the unique 100km format (2km swim, 80km bike and an 18km run). Additionally, those new to triathlons can register for the shorter Sprint distance category (750m swim, 20km bike & 5km run). The weekend will feature an event village with food trucks, entertainment, and interactive activities.

The Dubai T100 Triathlon and The Music Run are integral components of the month-long 2024 Dubai Fitness Challenge. This city-wide initiative encourages residents and tourists to commit to 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days. It aims to kick-start long-term healthy habits and has become a significant part of Dubai's fitness culture.

"Driven by the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum," commented Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE). "It is a call to integrate physical activity into everyday life. This year we are collaborating with global partners to deliver world-leading experiences."

Sam Renouf, CEO of the PTO – organisers of the global T100 Triathlon World Tour – added: "The addition of The Music Run to the T100 weekend schedule is a testament to the city's growing reputation as a hub for world-class sporting events. With its diverse population and love for innovation, Dubai is perfect for The Music Run's regional debut."
