She stated: "Our partnership with BSF in launching the new cycle of the Masaha Residency represents a meaningful investment in the creative sector and a shared belief in the role of the arts in driving societal growth and development. By nurturing creative artists and cultivating space for exploration and dialogue, we are empowering the next generation of artists and contributing to the Kingdom’s ambition of fostering a vibrant, culturally engaged society."

The residency spans 13 weeks, offering artists access to dedicated studios and weekly mentorship. Participants can also engage in critique sessions, specialized workshops, studio visits, and direct audience interactions. These resources aim to foster creativity and provide a platform for artistic growth.

Masaha Residency is one of Misk Art Institute’s key programs, playing an essential role in nurturing contemporary art. It encourages experimentation and helps build sustainable artistic networks locally and regionally. Since its start, it has supported over 100 artists by providing space for research, critical inquiry, and ongoing creative practice.

Previous cycles have tackled themes like technology, storytelling, and collective memory. In its 10th edition, artists are invited to critically examine constructs such as boundaries, truth, and hidden narratives. This focus aims to contribute significantly to evolving local and regional art scenes.

The program's emphasis on interdisciplinary exchange allows participants to reflect on frameworks shaping reality perception. By engaging with layered truths through diverse cultural narratives, artists can contribute meaningfully to contemporary discourse.

This residency not only supports individual artistic growth but also aligns with broader goals of fostering a culturally engaged society within Saudi Arabia. Through this initiative, Misk Art Institute continues its commitment to enhancing the creative landscape by empowering emerging talents.
