Liwa International Festival 2025 Opens Registration For Exciting Sports Events In Abu Dhabi

The Liwa Sports Club has started accepting registrations for the Liwa International Festival 2025. This event will occur from 13th December 2024 to 4th January 2025 at the famous Moreeb Dune. Known as one of Abu Dhabi's top winter attractions, the festival combines adventure and heritage in a captivating desert setting.

This year's festival promises an exciting line-up of 16 sporting events. These include the renowned Moreeb Hill Climb Championship, known for its challenging sand-climbing course. Other events feature drag races and traditional horse and camel races, blending cultural heritage with competitive spirit.

Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Chairman of Liwa Sports Club, mentioned that over 3,000 athletes are expected to participate. "The event reinforces the festival's status as a premier destination for sports enthusiasts from the UAE and the region," he stated. The festival is set to attract competitors from across the region.

In addition to modern sports, the festival will highlight traditional activities like Falcon Racing and Pigeon Lure competitions.
