Mother-Daughter Duo Innovates With TUSO Express Menu At Little Lahore

Little Lahore, a premium Pakistani restaurant known for its exceptional catering, dine-in, and delivery options in JLT, Dubai, has unveiled its latest culinary innovation, "TUSO by Little Lahore". Spearheaded by the restaurant's owner, Saira Ahmed, in collaboration with her daughter who is a New York-based Pakistani artist Aiza Ahmed, TUSO introduces an express menu that encapsulates the essence of Pakistani family traditions, culture, and values.

The term 'TUSO' refers to the South Asian practice of encouraging the consumption of delicious food, often heard in Punjabi households. This cultural nod serves as the foundation for the new express menu, which allows customers to create their own meals by choosing from a variety of breads and fillings.

Among the highlights of the TUSO menu are Roti Rolls, an array of flatbreads including traditional paratha and whole wheat tandoori roti, "Jab Thak Hai Naan", which offers assorted naans with fillings like minced mutton and spicy potato, "Kisne Liya Kisne Diya Quesdilla", a fusion of Mexican and Desi flavors, and "Fun Kebab Bun Kebab", TUSO's unique take on burgers.

Saira expresses her excitement about the launch: "I am thrilled to bring TUSO to life, Little Lahore has been a passion for me and TUSO is going to add that extra spice. Little Lahore reminds me of home but TUSO will live the traditional Lahori warmth — so TUSO to your heart's content."

Aiza's artwork for TUSO draws inspiration from her cultural roots and memories of being 'TUSO'd' with love and delectable feasts by the women in her family. Aiza Ahmed stated, "I am honoured to be collaborating with my mother on her latest endeavor. Feels extra special as the concept takes me down memory lane."
