Dubai: Ring In 2025 With Lionel Richie's Hits And Dubai's Fireworks At Atlantis, The Palm On NYE

Atlantis, The Palm has announced that Lionel Richie will headline their New Year's Eve Under the Stars Gala. Guests can expect a memorable performance as Richie plays his beloved hits on the grand piano. This year's theme, 'Broadway', promises an extraordinary evening with top-tier entertainment leading up to the 2025 countdown.

Renowned for his soulful voice and captivating stage presence, Richie will perform timeless classics such as "Hello," "All Night Long (All Night)," "Easy," and "Brick House." The exclusive show will be paired with Dubai's stunning fireworks display, spanning from Atlantis, The Palm to Atlantis The Royal.

The gala dinner will feature theatrical performances, dazzling costumes, and vibrant decor inspired by Broadway shows. Set on a custom-built deck overlooking Palm Island and the skyline, the event begins at 6:00 pm with canapés, welcome drinks, and roaming entertainment. A 30-piece live band and free-flowing Champagne will keep spirits high throughout the night.

Guests can enjoy a lavish buffet offering lobster, caviar, sushi, live cooking stations, and handcrafted desserts. This year also introduces 20 VIP Sky Suites with spectacular views. These suites offer private butler service and dining experiences from Nobu, La Mar by Gastón Acurio, estiatorio Milos, and Hakkasan.

Special Packages

The gala offers several packages to cater to different preferences. The standard package starts at Dh6,500 for adults and Dh4,500 for children aged 4 to 13. Children under three attend for free. Upgrades include the 'Rouge Circle' starting at Dh8,500 for adults and Dh5,500 for children.

The 'Golden Circle' package offers prime seating in front of the stage with unlimited premium beverages and other luxuries. Prices start at Dh12,500 for adults and Dh7,500 for children. The VIP 'Sky Suite' package is available for Dh200,000 for up to ten guests.

Family-Friendly Activities

Children attending the celebration can enjoy their own party in the Asateer Tent. Activities include a giant slide, bouncy castle, outdoor cinema, games stalls, arts and crafts, ensuring fun for all ages.

Lionel Richie has sold over 125 million albums worldwide and won numerous awards including an Oscar®, Golden Globe®, four Grammy Awards®, MusicCares Person of the Year (2016), Kennedy Center Honors (2017), Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction (2022), American Music Awards Icon Award (2022), and Gershwin Prize for Popular Song (2022).

In September 2023, Richie concluded his sold-out "Sing a Song All Night Long" tour featuring Earth, Wind & Fire. The tour continued in 2024 with more US dates. He also maintains a residency at Wynn Encore Theater in "Lionel Richie: King of Hearts."

Richie serves as a judge on ABC's "American Idol," now renewed for its eighth season. Recently co-producing the documentary "The Greatest Night in Pop," it premiered at Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim and topped Netflix's English Films List with 11.9 million views in its first week.
